Allen allowed five goals on 23 shots during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has only played in two of the past six games, and he's allowed five goals in each of those starts. Cater Hutton, meanwhile, boasts an 8-3-1 record, .940 save percentage and 1.84 GAA for the campaign. Expect the Blues to continue to lean on Hutton for the immediate future, but it's unlikely he continues punching above his weight class for a prolonged stretch. Fantasy owners are likely best to remain patient with Allen.

Allen will tend the twine for Tuesday night's home game against the Panthers, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen makes just his second start in the Blues last six games, as the veteran netminder has not looked up to snuff lately, while Carter Hutton has been playing admirably. With Hutton allowing four goals in an overtime loss to Washington on Sunday, Allen probably needs a good start Tuesday to keep himself ahead on the goalie depth chart. He could get it against a Florida squad that has recorded two goals or fewer in each of their last four games.

Allen made 25 saves in a 6-3 loss to the Flyers on Saturday afternoon. He allowed five goals.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers shot out to a 4-0 start by the mid-way point in the second period. But Allen started to brick things up to allow his mates to get back in the game. Still, Allen hasn't won since Christmas and has allowed 10 goals in three starts in that span. And he has just one win in his last eight starts dating back to Dec. 12. Backup Carter Hutton is performing comparatively well (4-1 in five starts since mid December), so Allen is a fantasy risk right now.

Allen will assume the road net for Saturday's matinee against the Flyers, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen reportedly will be countered by former cohort Brian Elliott. The former sat out the last three games for rest, but backup netminder Carter Hutton won all of those matches as the Blues advanced to second place within the Central Division. Philadelphia has struggled to score in its own barn, averaging only 2.76 goals per game (24th in the league), and that should be taken into consideration as you mull over options on Saturday's daily slate.

Allen made 25 saves on 28 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Stars on Friday. However, he only played 48:21, as for part of the game he was removed and replaced by Carter Hutton
EDGE Analysis
Reportedly, Allen was removed at the concussion spotter's behest after taking a hit to the head. Coach Mike Yeo said after the game it was a mistake for him to put Allen back in, and the fact that two of the goals the 27-year-old gave up came in the contest's final five minutes justifies that regret. Keep an eye on the veteran, just in case something happens with his status.

Allen will start in goal Friday night against host Dallas, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen will start for the fourth consecutive game, and he could be playing with a chip on his shoulder after learning that 24 of 26 saves wasn't enough for a win against the visiting Predators on Wednesday. The Stars are five points below the Blues in the Central Division standings and these two teams are tied in scoring (2.87 goals per game), despite the Stars running out a much better power play in comparison.

Allen made 24 saves on 26 shots in Wednesday's loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Allen dropped his stick to come across and rob Ryan Johansen during the opening period, but that highlight-reel save wasn't enough to earn the victory. The Blues' starting netminder has lost three of his past four games, but he's actually played well in each of those appearances. His .913 save percentage isn't too special, but Allen has found ways to win this season and it won't be long before he's picking up more victories.

Allen will be in goal versus Nashville on Wednesday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has just one win in his previous three outings, which shouldn't come as too much of a surprise considering he has faced 30-plus shots in each of those contests. If his teammates can't help limited the workload for the New Brunswick native, he will be hard pressed to shutdown the Predators offense that is averaging 3.23 goals.

Allen stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's win over Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
While the Canucks are slumping, Allen is finally back in the win column after losing four straight games. The 27-year-old owns a decent 18-10-2 record with a .913 save percentage. His play has been inconsistent, but Allen is a workhorse for the Blues and rarely sees the night off. He remains a top-tier fantasy option for one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

Allen will start in goal Saturday night, as the Blues are on the road to take on the Canucks, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen is winless over his last four appearances, but he's only had one true dud over that span -- yielding three goals on 18 shots from the traveling Ducks nine days ago. Vancouver only averages 2.69 goals per game to rank 28th in said category, so we likes his chances of getting back on track and securing win No. 18 on the year.
