Allen's in line to start Friday's game against the Canucks, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic St. Louis reports.
EDGE Analysis
All signs point to Allen being sent between the pipes against a Vancouver team that will be playing for the second time in as many nights. If Carter Hutton (16-7-3 and .934 save percentage) wasn't hampered by a neck injury, there's little doubt that he would have been in serious consideration for handling pucks in the upcoming contest, but then again, Allen has won three straight games and boasts acceptable ratios -- including a 2.28 GAA -- through seven appearances this month.

Allen made 21 saves on 22 shots Wednesday, helping his team earn a 2-1 overtime win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues have been bailing out Allen despite his struggles for a large part of 2018, but this time, he was a major part of his team's triumph. The Bruins have topped six goals on four different occasions in March, and holding Boston to just one goal was a huge performance from Allen. He's still in the midst of his worst season as an NHL netminder, but this performance showed that the ability to shut an opponent down is still there.

Allen made 26 saves on 30 shots in a 5-4 overtime win against the Blackhawks on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen gave up seven goals this weekend but still came away with two wins thanks to offensive support. In particular, the Blues managed to score a tying goal in the waning minutes before winning in overtime. St. Louis is likely pining for Carter Hutton (neck) to get healthy, as Allen now has a 2.79 GAA and .905 save percentage this season.

Allen will be the road starter against the Blackhawks on Sunday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is mildly surprising, given that Allen started Saturday night in a win over the Rangers. However, Carter Hutton (neck) is still banged up, and they didn't want to give Ville Husso a start evidently. There's reason for concern about the 27-year-old, and not just because he will be playing his second game in as many days. Over his last 10 outings, Allen has a 2.92 GAA and an .891 save percentage.

Allen stopped 17 of 20 shots in Saturday's win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has now won three of his last four games, as the Blues are gaining ground in the Western Conference playoff race. The 27-year-old advances to 22-21-2 on the season with a .906 save percentage. He's struggled throughout this year, but Allen is finding ways to win and will continued to be relied on heavily down the stretch. He hasn't been playing great, but Allen could be worth getting in your lineup given the absence of Carter Hutton (neck) and the desperation of the Blues.

Allen will protect the home net Saturday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Allen displayed some signs of cracking for the first time Thursday in four games since he took over as the primary netminder for Carter Hutton (neck), allowing three goals on just 22 shots to the Avalanche. If he can cobble together a good showing Saturday against a Rangers club notching 3.14 goals per game in March, Allen seems like a good bet to start both games of the back-to-back weekend set.

Allen allowed three goals on just 22 shots during Thursday's 4-1 loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
After winning consecutive games and allowing only five goals through his previous three contests, this was a disappointing outing from Allen. It serves as another reminder of just how unreliable he's been, as the veteran has won just four games since mid-December. His save percentage is down to .907 for the campaign, and with St. Louis plummeting down the standings, it's unlikely Allen shows notable improvement at this stage of the season.

Allen will guard the home goal Thursday against the Avalanche, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was pushed to the periphery by poor play, but Carter Hutton's neck issue that forced Allen into action has done wonders for him. The 27-year-old netminder has allowed two or fewer goals in his three starts since Hutton has been sidelined, posting a 2-1-0 record over that span. He should have a good opportunity at extending that streak Thursday against an Avalanche club averaging 2.69 goals per game on the road this season and sporting a minus-27 goal differential over 35 games.

Allen stopped 20 of 22 shots Monday in a 4-2 win over Anaheim, earning his second straight win.
EDGE Analysis
Allen wasn't as sharp as he's been in his past two starts, where he allowed just three goals in 75 shots. However, he did enough to get the win and didn't have to face a lot of pressure from the Ducks. If these kinds of performances are going to be his "bad nights", his owners will be quite happy with his work.

Allen will guard the cage for Monday's tilt versus the Ducks, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic St. Louis reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has given up a combined three goals on 75 shots in his previous two outings. The New Brunswick native seems prepared to wrench the starting job away from an injured Carter Hutton (undisclosed). The 27-year-old Allen is 5-3-0 lifetime against Anaheim, along with an impressive 1.92 GAA.
