Frederik Andersen will play between the pipes in Game 5.
Andersen was yanked on Wednesday after allowing four goals on 25 shots, but the Ducks will stick with him. The fact that Anaheim is continuing to start the 24-year-old rookie over Jonas Hiller makes it very hard to envision a scenario where Hiller actually re-signs with the Ducks this summer.

Anaheim goaltender was chased by the Stars on Wednesday after he allowed four goals on 25 shots in a 4-2 loss.
Andersen was lifted midway through the third period and replaced by Jonas Hiller, who faced only one shot in his relief appearance. It's anybody's guess who will be between the pipes for Anaheim in Game 5, as Andersen, Hiller and John Gibson are all in the running for the opportunity.

Frederik Andersen allowed three goals on 22 shots in Anaheim's 3-0 loss to Dallas Monday evening.
Andersen didn't play so well in Game 3 than he played in the first two games of the series. Though you can't blame Andersen for the loss, because the Ducks wasn't able to score in the game. The Ducks and the Stars will face again on Wednesday night and Andersen should get the start also then.

Frederik Andersen stopped 34 of 36 shots in Anaheim's 3-2 win over Dallas Friday evening at Honda Center.
Andersen started again for the Ducks and shined again. The rookie goaltender has been solid in the first two playoff games for the Ducks and he should be starting in Game 3 also on Monday night.

Frederik Andersen is projected to play between the pipes again on Friday.
Andersen stopped 32 of 35 shots in Anaheim's 4-3 victory over Dallas in their playoff opener on Wednesday. Obviously, the fact that they're sticking with Andersen doesn't bode well for Jonas Hiller, who might not be offered a contract extension before his current deal runs out this summer.

Frederik Andersen stopped 32 of 35 shots in Anaheim's 4-3 win over Dallas Wednesday night.
Andersen played in 28 regular season games and got the start, because Jonas Hiller struggled in his last regular season games. Andersen played a solid game and he should be the starter on Friday also. Andersen became the third rookie goaltender in Ducks history to play in a playoff game. Tom Askey (1999) and Ilya Bryzgalov (2006) were the others.

Frederik Andersen will play between the pipes for Anaheim on Wednesday.
Jonas Hiller's late season struggles cost him the start in the Ducks' playoff opener. Andersen is a 24-year-old rookie with 28 NHL games under his belt, so obviously Anaheim's goaltending situation is a bit of a concern. The good news is that he was solid during the regular season with a 2.29 GAA and .923 save percentage.

Jonas Hiller has been struggling lately and he admitted the slump has gotten to him. Andersen is a rookie with just 28 games worth of NHL experience, but did post an impressive 2.29 GAA and .923 save percentage this season.

Frederik Andersen is expected to start Saturday against Los Angeles.
He was the first goaltender off the ice at the team's morning skate, so he'll get the nod after missing the past three games with a head injury. Andersen was hit in the helmet by a Shea Weber shot on April 4th.
