Frederik Andersen (lower body) isn't projected to practice on Wednesday. He didn't take part in Tuesday's optional session either. Rookie John Gibson has been excellent since Andersen got hurt and Jonas Hiller will continue to back him up.

Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen didn't practice on Sunday, as it appears that he's still nursing a lower-body injury. With John Gibson's shutout in mind, it's unlikely that the Ducks would turn back to a less-than-100-percent Andersen anyway. Still, with the goalie roulette wheel spinning, Andersen probably wants to stay healthy to stay in the mix in case things change course yet again.

Frederik Andersen (lower body) has been ruled out for Game 4 Saturday night in Los Angeles. He is listed as day-to-day with a suspected knee injury. Andersen didn't take part in Saturday's morning skate, so Anaheim's starter will either be Jonas Hiller or recent call-up John Gibson.

Frederik Andersen is day-to-day going forward due to what might be a right knee injury. Andersen was forced to leave Thursday's game with just 10 minutes left in the contest. He had stopped 22 of 23 shots before he sustained the injury.

Frederik Andersen stopped 22 of 23 shots in Anaheim's 3-2 win over Los Angeles in Game 3 of their second round playoff series on Thursday night. Anaheim's head coach Bruce Boudreau made a bold move and started Andersen, a rookie, instead of Jonas Hiller, who seemed to take back the starting job after he relieved Andersen and won the series-clinching Game 6 of the first round. Andersen played a great game, but he was injured in the third period with a lower-body injury and Hiller replaced him. Hiller blocked 7 of 8 shots he faced in the third period. If Andersen is not available in Game 4 on Saturday night then Hiller will be the starting goalie for sure for the Ducks.

Frederik Andersen will start Game 3 against Los Angeles. He led the Ducks out for the pregame warmup and will make his first start of the series. Andersen won two games in Los Angeles during the regular season and Anaheim needs a win, down 2-0 in in their series versus the Kings.

Frederik Andersen participated in Saturday's optional skate. Jonas Hiller didn't take part in the session. Coach Bruce Bodreau still wouldn't say which goalie would get the start for Game 1 against Los Angeles. Hiller should probably considered the starter based his relief appearance in Game 6 versus Dallas

Coach Bruce Boudreau will have a tough decision to make as to who he will start in goal in the second round: Frederik Andersen or Jonas Hiller. Boudreau started Andersen in all six games against Dallas but had to pull him twice on the road including Sunday as Hiller came on to backstop the Ducks to a 5-4 overtime win. Andersen gave up four goals on only 12 shots and that has to give the coach a lot of doubts as the competition only becomes tougher as the Ducks will face either San Jose or Los Angeles next round. Stay tuned.

The Anaheim Ducks will likely go back to Frederik Andersen for Game 6 in Dallas Sunday. Andersen has started all five games for Anaheim but was pulled in Game 4 after allowing four goals on 25 shots. He has struggled on the road in this series as he has given up seven goals on only 47 shots but look for coach Bruce Boudreau put him between the pipes. "I think he knows I have full confidence," Boudreau said. "I started him in the playoffs so I don't think that was an issue. I don't think I had to go over it and say, 'Hey Freddie, I got a lot of faith in you, blah, blah, blah.' "I think that's sort of a given from the amount of time he's played this year and the amount of big games he's played in." Andersen is 3-2 in the post-season with a 2.93 GAA and a .909 save percentage.

Frederik Andersen stopped 34 of 36 shots in Anaheim's 6-2 win over Dallas Friday night at Honda Center. Andersen has now played all Anaheim's playoff games in this season and he has been very solid in Anaheim's home games. He struggled a little bit in Dallas, but now he was rock-solid again. Andersen should be the starting goalie on Sunday, when the Ducks and the Stars meet again.
