Lack limited the Flames to two goals on 26 shots in Thursday's 4-2 victory.
EDGE Analysis
He had a rough first outing against Vancouver, but righted the ship in this one. With Cam Ward having surrendered eight goals in two games to open the season, the door's open for Lack to carve out a bigger end of the playing time this year. To do that, though, he'll have to improve upon last season's subpar .901 save percentage. Thursday was a good start, but he'll need to string a number of strong outings together before the Hurricanes make a permanent shift.

Lack will man the crease against the Flames on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Lack allowed four pucks to find the back of the net in his only other appearance this season, resulting in an overtime loss. The 28-year-old will be looking to improve upon his disappointing .871 save percentage and should have a slight edge over the struggling Brian Elliott in Thursday's matchup.

Lack allowed four goals on 31 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lack and the Hurricanes squandered a three-goal lead against the netminder's former team in this one, opening the door for Brandon Sutter to bury the game-winner just 32 seconds into overtime. It's unclear at this point how much crease time Lack will get with veteran Cam Ward healthy to start the season, but this is definitely not the way the Swede wanted to start his 2016-17 campaign.

Lack will start between the pipes Sunday against the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Lack will make his first regular season appearance in net for the Hurricanes after ceding the first start of the season to Cam Ward. The veteran netminder put together an admirable preseason effort, setting aside 45 of the 48 shots he faced in three starts. He should split time in goal with Ward throughout the season, but with the Hurricanes expected to be a subpar team, he may be in line for another mediocre-at-best season.

Lack will start in the crease Wednesday against the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Lack is considered a candidate to take over the goaltending role for the Hurricanes in 2016-17. There's been no mention of this recently, and both he and Cam Ward have played impressively in preseason action. It wouldn't be surprising if the two split the workload again this season but Lack will guard the cage Wednesday.

Lack finished the 2015-16 with disappointing numbers: a 12-14-6 record, 2.81 GAA and. 901 save percentage.
EDGE Analysis
Lack was brought in via trade from Vancouver to push Cam Ward for the starter's job this season, but he wound up playing mostly a backup role due to his poor play, and Ward's relatively better numbers. With Ward now eligible for free agency, it remains to be seen whether Lack will inherit the starting reins next season. Alternately, the Canes could still opt to bring Ward back for another kick at the can, or bring in some fresh blood via the free agent route. Either way, Lack is not considered a viable starting goalie for fantasy purposes at this time.

Lack allowed four goals on just 20 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Lack has struggled as of late, losing six of his last seven starts, allowed four goals or more in five of those games. The 28-year-old finishes the season with a 12-14-6 record and allowing a career worst 2.77 GAA.

Lack will defend the cage against Florida on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lack has been off his game since the start of March as he's registered a 2-2-3 record along with a 3.07 GAA. In his one previous matchup with the Panthers, the 28-year-old allowed three pucks to find the back of the net on 29 shots. In terms of fantasy value, the goaltender's .903 save percentage and 12 victories makes him a mid-range option for you lineups.

Lack saved 22 of 27 shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Another ugly showing from Lack, as the netminder has allowed four-plus goals in four of his last six appearances. Even more disappointing, this was against the 24th-ranked offense, but it's not like he was helped by Carolina's attack (25th in the league), either. The 28-year-old backup has taken a step back this year, sitting at a 2.77 GAA and .903 save percentage to date.

Lack will start in goal Saturday night, drawing a home start against the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Lack stood tall against the Jackets in a road start on March 24, slapping away 42 of 44 shots and claiming his 12th win of the season. Unfortunately, that was his only victory in the last five outings as the Hurricanes have managed to score just 12 times over that span.
