Lack turned away 29 of 30 shots Tuesday night in New Jersey to take home a 3-1 win.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils torched Lack for a season-worst five goals back in December, but that team at least had Lee Stempniak (since traded) and Mike Cammalleri (since injured) -- even those relatively unimpressive offensive pieces are far better than what New Jersey fans have to watch these days. Lack -- making his first start since Feb. 18 after six straight games on the bench -- took advantage. He's been highly inconsistent, but has at least shown positive signs for the future, which is good because the 'Canes have him locked up for two more years.

Lack will start in goal Tuesday night, facing the Devils on the road Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
At a glance, this looks like it could be a low-scoring affair Tuesday considering that both teams are in the bottom third of the league in the goals-per-game category. However, if you believe that past performance is indicative of future results, then stay away from Lack in fantasy land as he was blown up for five goals on 27 shots when he faced the Devils on Dec. 3.

Lack struggled Thursday, saving 18 and allowing three goals in a 4-2 loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Lack was able to survive Ottawa's four power-play chances, but this was also his 13th game of three or more goals given up on the year. The 28-year-old's .901 save percentage is a severe downgrade from .921 with the Canucks last year, but he's managed to stay healthy, something Cam Ward (leg) has not been able to do as of late. Lack is worth holding onto with that in mind.

Lack will start in goal Thursday night against the host Senators, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to the NHL's official media site, 12 of 15 games between the Hurricanes and Senators have been decided by a single goal, so consider looking in a different direction if wins come at a premium in your fantasy league and you need a greater level of predictability.

Lack held Winnipeg to a single goal on 21 shots in a 2-1 victory Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
It seems like we only get an excellent or terrible version of Lack when he gets the call between the pipes, and this one was decidedly in on the excellent side. Playing for the Hurricanes does him no favors, but when Lack's on, he's really on; unfortunately, he's also been tagged for four-plus on six occasions over his last 16 starts. Cam Ward's got a minor leg injury, but he could be back in time to play in one end of Carolina's upcoming back-to-back set Thursday and Friday.

Lack will start in goal Tuesday night as the Hurricanes play host to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
You won't be calling him "Steady Eddie" anytime soon, but Lack has rattled off wins in three of his last five appearances between the posts, including a shutout win over the Blackhawks on Jan. 26. Staying true to his inconsistent ways, he coughed up eight goals total between the Rangers and Flames in that same span. He's the defacto starter with Cam Ward unavailable due to a leg injury and Daniel Altshuller, who was called up from the minors Tuesday, reportedly will serve as a backup in the upcoming contest.

Lack came into Saturday's game against the Islanders after starter Cam Ward suffered a lower-body injury. He finished with nine saves on 10 shots.
EDGE Analysis
There's no report on the severity of Ward's injury, but he was in serious pain when he left. Lack could be in line for more starting time during any extended absences. He's a good goaltender who has laid down two shutouts in his last five starts. Lack could be a good value play if Ward is out for long.

Lack made just 20 saves while allowing four goals in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes' penalty kill was their undoing, as they gave up two goals on just three shots while shorthanded. Any momentum Lack had built up with shutouts of the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs in his last four appearances before the All-Star break has now dissipated following a defeat to a Flames team he had beaten less than two weeks ago.

Lack will get the nod in net on Wednesday against the Flames, Aaron Vickers of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lack has won two-in-a-row and three of four, which includes shutouts against the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs. In his last start against the Flames, Lack stopped 33 shots while giving up just two goals in a convincing 5-2 win on Jan. 24. He's 9-9-3 on the season with a 2.68 GAA and a .904 save percentage; however, he's played much better of late and gets a plumb matchup against the inconsistent Flames.

Lack picked up his second shutout of the season Tuesday against the visiting Blackhawks, stopping all 26 shots in a 5-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
Well, that was unexpected. Perhaps the 'Hawks -- typically a formidable opponent -- were tuned out of their final game before the All-Star break, as the Hurricanes jumped all over them while Lack held things down on his end. Both of his shutouts have come in his last four starts, and though he's mixed in a couple duds here and there, all in all the Hurricanes have to be happy with what Lack has given them since Cam Ward went down with a concussion.
