Lack's next chance to man the pipes will come Saturday at home against the Predators.

The season as a whole has been a bit of a disappointment for the 27-year-old netminder, he'll look to continue the turnaround Wednesday against a Capitals club scoring 2.83 goals per game in December.

Lack came three seconds away from notching his first shutout of the season, but allowed a goal on 36 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win against the Blackhawks.

Lack was the only thing standing between the Blackhawks and a win with the Swedish goaltender coming out on top for a change. Don't get used to these types of games though, as Lack hasn't been consistent enough to trust on most nights that he does play.
