Anderson (hand) will receive the start in goal for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports. Anderson's return to the crease comes at convenient time, as the Senators will be without emerging star goalie Andrew Hammond on Saturday after he suffered a lower-body injury in his last start. While hand issues have dogged Anderson since about late January, he seems to be feeling strong again after taking the last week and a half off to recuperate. Anderson was able to turn in a full practice Friday and didn't appear limited during the Sens' morning skate Saturday, giving coach Dave Cameron confidence in turning the net over to the goalie. Despite the lay off, Anderson will make for a respectable starting option in just about any fantasy format Saturday, as the wilting Leafs have struggled to generate offense over the last few months.

Anderson (hand) will travel to Toronto for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports. With Andrew Hammond (undisclosed) suddenly banged up, Anderson's potential return becomes a hot issue. If neither Hammond nor Anderson is ready for Saturday, Chris Driedger will likely get the start. It sounds as if Anderson should be available, but he hasn't been officially cleared. Ottawa also has a game against the Panthers on Sunday.

Anderson (hand) could be ready to re-enter the Sens' goaltending mix as soon as this weekend, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 reports. Anderson was ruled out for at least one week on last Tuesday after aggravating the hand injury that sidelined him in January, but general manager Bryan Murray indicated that he could return over the weekend. With the success of Andrew Hammond -- who has yet to lose in regulation in 14 starts -- Anderson would likely be relegated to a backup role for the stretch run of the season when he does come back.

Ottawa GM Bryan Murray said Tuesday that Anderson will miss at least one week after aggravating the hand injury he first sustained Jan. 21, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. The Senators have ruled out surgery as an option for the goalie, who is more specifically dealing with a deep bone bruise that flared up again after just two appearances since his return from IR. Murray said that Anderson will undergo another MRI just to determine that the injury isn't something more severe, but as a preventative measure against another setback, the goalie won't practice until he's 100 percent healthy. It's probably safe to assume that Anderson will be held out for beyond the week, and with Robin Lehner still slow to progress from a concussion, the Senators will pin their hopes of reaching the playoffs on Andrew Hammond, who has rolled to 10 wins in 11 starts since joining the team.

Anderson aggravated the hand injury that sidelined him from late January to early March, prompting the Senators to recall Chris Driedger on an emergency basis from ECHL Evansville. Anderson returned from a six-week absence March 8, but he's only made two starts since that time, as the Senators continue to ride a red-hot Andrew Hammond in a last-ditch attempt to grab a wild-card spot. Even if the injury aggravation is minor, Anderson will probably need Hammond to slip up in order to regain his status as the team's top goaltender.

Anderson gave up three goals on 22 shots Tuesday in a loss to the Bruins. He's now given up seven goals in two games since returning to action -- for comparison, Andrew Hammond has allowed a total of seven goals in his last six starts. It's not that Anderson's necessarily been bad, but the degree of Hammond's success while he was out in combination with so-so results upon his return could mean that Anderson takes a back seat to the rookie in the near future.

Anderson is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Bruins, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports. Ottawa will stick with Anderson, who backstopped Sunday's 5-4 shootout win over the Flames, in a game that carries playoff implications for the Sens, who are currently five points behind the Bruins (with a game in hand) for the final wild card slot in the Eastern Conference.

Anderson made his first start since Jan.21 Sunday, stopping 42 of 46 shots in a shootout win over Calgary. A wild return for Anderson, who was holding onto a 4-0 lead, before allowing four third-period goals to the Flames. He's now 14-11-7 on the season with a .926 save percentage and 2.42 GAA. While Andrew Hammond is 7-0-1 in his last eight games, it's unclear which goalie will get the majority of starts down the stretch. Once Hammond cools down, Anderson will likely resume his position as the team's starting goaltender.

Anderson will start in goal Sunday against the Flames, Brent Wallace of TSN reports. Anderson will receive the start Sunday, his first since Jan. 21 due to a hand injury. He will look to continue the success he had prior to the issue, compiling a 2.37 save percentage and .927 save percentage on the season with a 13-11-7 record.

Anderson (hand) will serve as the backup to Andrew Hammond for Friday's game against the Jets, Dean Brown of TSN 1200 reports. Anderson was activated from injured reserve earlier this week, but it doesn't sound like the Senators are comfortable throwing him back into the net for a start quite yet. Fortunately, the sensational play of fill-in goalie Andrew Hammond has allowed the Senators to stay competitive during Anderson's absence, lessening the need of the team to rush their No. 1 netminder back from IR. Anderson probably isn't quite at full strength following the bout with the hand injury, but he's healthy enough to give the team another option in goal. Once Hammond falls back to earth a bit, Anderson should get his opportunity to reclaim the regular starting gig for good.
