Anderson was great in Thursday's season opener against the Sabres, turning away 26 of the 27 shots he faced en route to a 3-1 victory. With Andrew Hammond currently dealing with a groin injury, Anderson has an opportunity to state his case for Ottawa's No. 1 goaltender job in the early goings of the season.

Anderson is a capable backstop fresh off a season in which he compiled a sturdy 2.49 GAA and .923 save percentage, but Hammond is the young talent that helped the Sens to 20 wins in 24 starts last year. Keep an eye on the situation and see if Anderson can gain any separation in the goalie battle ahead of the new season.

Anderson was sensational Friday, shopping 45 of 46 shots in a Game 5 win over Montreal. Anderson has been unstoppable since starting Game 3, turning away 120 of 123 shots to help the Senators claw their way back into the series. Now trailing the Canadiens 3-2 in the first round, Anderson will need to come up big once again in Game 6 Sunday if Ottawa hopes to see another day.
