Anderson won't be available for Thursday's game against the Capitals, but the Senators are considering him day-to-day, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. Anderson tested out his hand on the ice Wednesday morning, facing a few shots during the session. Since it appears he's still feeling a bit limited by the injury, the Senators will continue to stash him on IR for a little longer, but there is some optimism he might be available over the weekend.

Anderson (hand) will not be available for Tuesday's game against the Devils, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. There was some hope Anderson might be ready to play Tuesday after he resumed skating Saturday, but it looks like he isn't quite healthy just yet. With Anderson still recovering from the injury, coach Dave Cameron went ahead and confirmed Robin Lehner as Ottawa's starting goalie for Saturday's game against Arizona. The organization still seem to believe that Anderson's injury is minor, but he'll have to resume practicing before his return can be viewed as forthcoming.

Anderson (hand) was placed on injured reserve Thursday. According to the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch, The Senators seemingly view Anderson's injury to be a day-to-day situation, but it was significant enough to keep him out for Thursday's game against the Stars. Fortunately, because of the recent break for the NHL All-Star break, Anderson's IR stint can be backdated to Jan. 21, which will enable him to suit up Saturday against the Coyotes if team doctors deem him ready to go.

Anderson is dealing with a hand injury and will not play Thursday, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports. The extent of Anderson's setback uncertain, but replacement goaltender Andrew Hammond was called up on an emergency basis, which indicates Anderson should not be sidelined long. While Hammond will be active, Robin Lehner will get the start in Thursday's matchup with the Stars.

Anderson will start Wednesday's game against the Leafs. Anderson, who has allowed three goals in each of his last two starts -- both losses -- has a nice matchup on paper Wednesday, with the slumping Leafs in the midst of a five-game slide.

Anderson made 32 saves on 35 shots Tuesday, but that 35th shot was a beautiful redirection by the Rangers' Carl Hagelin in overtime, resulting in a 3-2 loss. Anderson's given up three goals in two consecutive games -- both losses. Lately, as he's gone, so have the Senators. Since Dec. 11, Anderson has given up three-plus goals five times and is 0-2-3 in those games; in his other eight starts in that span, he's gone 6-1-1 while allowing a total of 11 goals.
