Kreider collected a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers. Hopefully Wednesday was enough to get Kreider out of his slump, since he had been scoreless in the previous 10 games. He still has six goals and 11 assists in 33 games on the season, so there's no reason fantasy owners should be giving up on him solely based on his recent drought.

Kreider has just two points (one goal) in his last nine contests. After a solid 37 points in his first full campaign (66 games) last year, the second line winger has hit a rut of sorts. With just 15 points (five goals) in 31 games played this season, his ownership has taken a tumble. Kreider, who has nine of his 15 points on the road, where the Rangers will play five of their next six games. leaves prospective owners with a low-risk, high-reward opportunity.

Kreider (neck spasms) was back on the ice for Wednesday's practice, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports. Kreider was scratched from Monday's game against the Penguins due to the injury, but his participation in practice suggests the ailment isn't anything too serious. Unless coach Alain Vigneault indicates otherwise, expect Kreider to rejoin the lineup Saturday in Vancouver.

Kreider (neck) will not play Monday against the Penguins. Kreider was not expected to play Monday, so his absence should not come as a surprise. J.T. Miller will take Kreider's spot in the Rangers' lineup.

Kreider (neck spasms) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Penguins, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports. Kreider collided with teammate Carl Hagelin at Sunday's practice, but avoided a concussion. He'll probably sit out Monday's game since the Rangers don't play again until Saturday against the Canucks, giving him some extra time to rest up.

Kreider had to head to the locker room during practice after a collision with Carl Hagelin, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports. It appears as if the injury is an upper-body one but the severity of it is unclear at this point. Kreider has four goals and nine assists in 24 games played this season.

Kreider dished out a pair of helpers in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Canadiens. Kreider snapped a pair of six game droughts in the win, recording his first career points against Montreal and getting back on the scoresheet for the first time since Nov. 8. He tied a season-high by firing off seven shots, so if he keeps shooting the goals will come eventually. With 12 points through 20 games, he should top last year's total of 37.

Kreider has yet to register a point and is a minus-3 in six career games against Montreal. While he loves to throw the body -career-high 23 hits against the Canadiens- his career numbers don't exactly suggest an awakening from his current six-game point-scoring drought. Up until his currently skid, the 23-year-old Kreider (plus-3) had registered 10 points (four goals) and 38 penalty minutes through 12 games, so it should only be a matter of time before the second line winger turns things around.
