Shaw scored the game-winning goal in overtime in a 3-2 victory over Toronto on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
It was a beauty -- Shaw broke hard to the net and sliced a saucer pass past Frederick Andersen. He then slammed hard into the end boards, but was not hurt. Shaw has struggled to deliver offense for les bleu, blanc et rouge -- he has 22 points on the season, including four in his last 10 games. Shaw is better on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

Shaw scored a goal on two shots, one hit, and had a two-minute penalty over 15:45 of ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw hadn't put one past a goalie since Jan. 24, a stretch of 10 games before his wraparound beat New York's Henrik Lundqvist. It was a good sequence for Shaw who earlier in the shift made a nice play to keep the puck inside the Rangers' zone. It was a reminder of the good that Shaw can provide. Since returning from a knee injury 17 games ago, Shaw has made more headlines for his dumb penalties than offensive contributions (two goals, three assists).

Shaw's interference penalty during the second period Thursday led to Philadelphia's game-winning goal in Montreal's 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw upended the Flyers' Nick Cousins on a harmless dump-in and was whistled for the penalty that led to Claude Giroux's game winner. Montreal coach Michel Therrien called it a "bad penalty" and that "you can't take a penalty like that." Shaw's made a habit of taking brain-dead penalties and now has a career-high 84 minutes in penalties in just 38 games. Needless to say, if you're looking at the box score and see him with a team-low 7:41 of ice time, you know why. Following Giroux's power-play goal, Shaw skated out of the sin-bin to the Canadiens' bench and never left.

Shaw opened the scoring late in the first period and added a third-period power-play assist in Tuesday's 5-1 rout of the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out 14 games with a concussion, Shaw returned with five scoreless efforts, so these two points were actually his first since way back on Dec. 10, some six-plus weeks ago. The point production's not really developing for Shaw, but if you own him for PIM and hits, he should be making you happy -- in such formats, any offense you get out of him is just a welcome bonus.

Shaw has not yet heard from the league office regarding his late hit on the Rangers' Jesper Fast during Saturday's game, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports. At this time, it looks like Shaw will be available to the Canadiens for their Monday afternoon game against the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw had an eventful return to the lineup Saturday after missing 14 games due to a concussion. His interference with Rangers' goalie Antti Raanta nullified a Phillip Danault goal, then his hit on Fast, which Shaw admitted was "maybe half a second late," led to a five-minute major for interference, five minutes for fighting with T.J. Miller, and a game misconduct.

Shaw was ejected Saturday following an ugly blindside hit on the Rangers' Jasper Fast. This was Shaw's first game back after missing 14 games because of a concussion.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw is quickly escalating his game to the levels of the ultimate jerk. The hit was well after the play and Fast had no clue he was even there. Fast left the game; Shaw played just 5:24 and accumulated 22 PIM. Supplemental discipline is likely.

Shaw (concussion) will return Saturday night for a home game against the Rangers, John Lu of TSN Montreal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has missed the past 14 games with his ailment, but he won't be eased back into game action. We have have the gritty-as-sandpaper pivot projected to line up on the third line opposite Paul Byron with Phillip Danault down the middle, and Shaw will also be unleashed on the first man-advantage unit should the opportunity present itself. His production spreads among several categories as he's accumulated 15 points, a plus-12 rating, 58 PIM, and 74 hits in 29 games -- and those are just the notable stats.

Shaw (concussion) isn't traveling with his teammates for Wednesday's game against Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw resumed skating on his own Sunday, but will likely need to log several full practices before returning to game action. The gritty winger remains without a definite timetable for his return to Montreal's lineup, but the Canadiens should release another update on his status once he's cleared to start taking contact in practice.

Shaw (concussion) won't play in Monday's game, John Lu of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
By missing Monday's game, the forward has missed the last 11 games. He began skating on Sunday, so it's clear he's close, so he could find his way back into the lineup for Wednesday's game in Winnipeg. After missing so much time, it could take him a bit of time to get back up to speed, so it might be wise to give him a couple games before slotting him back into a fantasy lineup.

Shaw (concussion) skated during Sunday's practice, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The winger has missed the last 11 games with a concussion, but by skating, it shows he's getting closer to returning, perhaps as early as Monday's matchup with Washington. He only had 15 points in 29 games before being sidelined, but given his 2:34 power play minutes per game, he should get some solid scoring chances once he returns.
