Shaw (concussion) is still listed among the injured as the Habs prepare for Saturday's road game against the Maple Leafs, per NHL.com.
EDGE Analysis
Canadiens coach Michel Therrien is in pursuit of career win No. 400, and he's undoubtedly wishing that the gritty Shaw was available to help him reach the milestone. But the pivot has missed the past 10 games and apparently has some hurdles left in his recovery. On a positive note, the injury to Shaw has cleared a path for Nikita Scherbak to make his NHL debut in the upcoming contest.

Shaw (concussion) will not travel with the team Monday.
EDGE Analysis
With two road games in two days on Tuesday and Wednesday, it seems like this news effectively eliminates Shaw from playing in either contest. This concussion has held him out since Dec. 16, and his next likely chance to return is Saturday in Toronto.

Shaw will stay back in Brossard, which is located in the Greater Montreal region, as he continues his rehab from a concussion.
EDGE Analysis
The Habs will embark on a six-game road trip starting with Wednesday's date with the Lightning, a contest for which Shaw's effectively been ruled out. Hopefully the gritty pivot isn't held out much longer, as he's still on pace for a career-high 40 points, despite missing the last five contests.

Shaw (concussion) is listed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Because the IR placement is retroactive to his last game played, Shaw could still be back in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Anaheim, but it remains to be seen how severe his concussion symptoms really are. The 25-year-old had came on strong in his last seven contests, notching two goals and five assists over that span.

Shaw will not suit up for Friday night's game against the Sharks due to concussion-like symptoms he developed Thursday afternoon. Additionally, he will not travel with the team to Washington, essentially ruling him out for Saturday's showdown with the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
While the Canadiens haven't officially diagnosed Shaw with a concussion, they are clearly concerned enough with the symptoms he was displaying to sit him for at least the next game or two. The Canadiens haven't played since Monday when they lost to the Bruins in overtime, so it's unclear when exactly this injury occurred. Assuming he does not make the trip to Washington on Saturday, Shaw could be back in the lineup for Tuesday's home game against the Ducks, though that really depends on if he can pass the league's concussion protocol before then.

Shaw notched a pair of assists and four shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
The Habs' offseason acquisition of Shaw looked like a dud over his first 14 games, as the winger managed only a goal and two assists with 21 shots in that span. However, htarting with a three-point game on Nov. 12, he's turned that story around, netting 10 points and 32 shots along with 40 PIM in his last 13 games. Shaw's seeing increased ice time now because of the team's injuries up front, which only helps his multi-category fantasy value. If your league counts hits, even better.

Shaw scored a third-period goal and collected 17 penalty minutes during Tuesday's loss to Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw received a fighting major during the first period before pulling the Habs within a goal of Anaheim with two minutes left in the game. However, he took a hooking penalty with 28 seconds left in the game. Shaw displayed his anger with the call and was handed a 10-minute misconduct. It wasn't ideal for Montreal, but fantasy owners received a nice boost in the PIM column. Shaw is up to 58 PIM for the year, which helps mitigate the offensive hit of his underwhelming five goals and nine points through 23 games. At this point, Shaw's fantasy value is almost entirely dependent on his frequent trips to the sin bin.

Shaw scored a third-period goal on his only shot of the game and finished with a plus-1 rating and 14 penalty minutes during a loss to the Hurricanes on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw picked up a minor penalty for hooking Justin Faulk with 12 seconds left in the game, and then he proceeded to take an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and a 10-minute misconduct. Shaw's PIM contributions (34 for the year) have been the best aspect of his fantasy stock at this stage of the game, considering he's only scored three goals and notched seven points for the campaign.

Shaw had a power-play goal and two assists in Montreal's 5-0 win over Detroit on Saturday. It was his first goal since the season-opener against Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw's goal was as greasy as his Movember mustache, coming on the power play when Alex Galchenyuk's slap shot caromed in off his leg. While the points haven't been piling up for Shaw -- he had just three in 14 games entering Saturday's game -- he's never been in danger of losing playing time. He plays the game with an edge, an element missing from the team the last several seasons, and has been their top faceoff guy (59.8 percent).

Shaw assisted on Max Pacioretty's game-winner Thursday night in Montreal's 3-1 win over Tampa Bay. He added three shots on net, three hits and two penalty minutes in 16:00 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
The hard-working forward was rewarded for his tenacity, winning a battle behind the night to pick up a well-deserved secondary assist on the captain's goal. The point was Shaw's first since an opening-night goal, breaking a six-game drought. The same goes for his time spent in the sin bin; Shaw picked up 10 minutes opening night and has since played infraction free until Thursday.
