Shaw (neck) returned to practice Sunday, despite head coach Claude Julien stating that it was "far from guaranteed" the player would be ready for practice Monday, Arpon Basu of The Athletic Montreal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday marked Shaw's first time practicing with teammates since Tuesday, as he's been dealing with soreness in his neck. Shaw's status for Monday's preseason contest against Toronto is unknown, though it wouldn't be surprising to see Montreal err on the side of caution and hold the player out until Wednesday's game, which is also against Toronto.

According to coach Claude Julien, Shaw (neck) could skate with his teammates Monday, Arpon Basu of The Athletic Montreal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Julien also noted that Shaw's return to practice Monday "is far from guaranteed," but it's nonetheless encouraging to see signs suggesting the gritty forward's recovery is progressing. At this point there's no reason to believe Shaw won't be ready for the Canadiens' regular-season opener against the Sabres on Oct. 5.

Shaw sat out Tuesday's practice due to a neck injury.
EDGE Analysis
Per Sportsnet's Eric Engels, Shaw's injury is of a day-to-day nature and is only characterized by soreness, so the general feeling is that this is not a severe injury. That said, it remains to be seen if the veteran agitator will be able to go for Wednesday's preseason contest against the Capitals, but considering the mostly meaningless nature of the game, it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit.

Shaw (concussion) is back to 100 percent for Montreal's training camp.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was a decent contributor for the Canadiens last season, notching 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) and 127 shots on goal in 68 games. The gritty forward also racked up 110 PIM and 147 hits over that span, giving him legitimate value in fantasy leagues that count those statistics.

Shaw missed Game 6 with a concussion, the team announced Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to getting hurt, Shaw was unable to add much in terms of offensive production as he tallied zero points, seven PIM, 13 shots on goals, and three blocked shots during his five postseason outings. During the season, the winger was utilized as a power-play specialists -- averaging 15:12 of ice time with 2:12 coming on the power play -- but registered a mere lone goal and six helpers with the man advantage. Unless he can secure a larger role during the 2017-18 campaign, fantasy owners may want to pursue other options.

Shaw didn't practice Saturday due to an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw's status for Saturday evening's Game 6 has yet to be confirmed, but he should be considered questionable at best at this juncture. If Shaw is unable to go, the recently recalled Michael McCarron will likely draw into the lineup.

Shaw scored his 12th goal of the season during Monday's win over Florida.
EDGE Analysis
It was Shaw's first goal in seven contests and improved him to 12 tallies and 29 points for the campaign. While the offensive numbers are hardly noteworthy marks, his 121 shots, 110 PIM and 140 hits are serviceable supporting statistics in deep seasonal leagues. Shaw's playoff experience might also help him in postseason settings, and especially with Montreal hopeful for a deep run this spring.

Shaw scored a goal and assisted on another in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Montreal scored first when Shaw one-timed a feed from Phillip Danault into a wide-open half-net for his 11th goal of the season. He later returned the favor, getting the secondary assist for Danault. It was a rare night for the Habs, whose secondary scorers were prominent.
