Shaw netted his fourth goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over Buffalo. It came on the power play.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has eight points (four goals, four assists) in his last 10 games; four of those points have come on the power play. Shaw's best season came in 2013-14 when he had 20 goals and 39 points in 80 games. He has an increased role in Montreal, so that total could be obliterated by season's end. Shaw can help your squad, especially if he has dual eligibility at both wing and center.

Shaw (undisclosed) said he will suit up for Thursday's home contest against the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
A pesky agitator who sometimes doubles as a playmaker, Shaw has really turned it up a notch in the attacking zone by averaging one point over his last six games, a hot stretch that included five wins for the Habs. It appears safe to leave the Ontario native active in all fantasy leagues at this time.

Shaw's status for Thursday's clash with Minnesota is up in the air due to an undisclosed ailment, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was held out of practice for a "therapy day" according to the team, which did not release any additional details regarding the nature of his injury. If the winger is unable to give it a go, Jacob De La Rose would likely slot into the lineup -- although the Habs could opt to recall a player from the minors instead.

Shaw delivered two power-play goals in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw is on pace to equal his best NHL season ever (20 goals, 19 assists with Chicago in 2013-14). There's value in his game in deep formats.

Shaw had a goal on three shots and had a hit over 17:06 of ice time in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw, who missed practice Wednesday because of the flu, went from his sick bed to the ice to score his first goal of the season. He's posted four points over the last five games as Shaw has clearly benefited from skating on a line with Max Pacioretty and Phillip Danault. Will that continue? The Habs were pretty bad from goaltender on out Thursday, so we'd anticipate head coach Claude Julien shaking up his lines in advance of Saturday's road game in Winnipeg.

Shaw (illness) confirmed that he'll be back in the lineup Thursday night against the Wild,
EDGE Analysis
Expect the center who plays with sandpaper-like grit to reprise his role in the top six and on the first power-play unit. He's notched four assists and 20 PIM in 12 games this season, but that seems to only be moving the needle in deep fantasy leagues.

Shaw was absent from Wednesday's practice because of the flu, but traveled with the team ahead of Thursday's game in Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's still without a goal this season, Shaw has racked up four assists in the past six games and seems to be getting his play back on track, so it would be unfortunate if illness prevented him from trying to keep it going Thursday. The team should provide a further update on Shaw's status after Thursday's morning skate, though if he's unable to go, expect Jacob De La Rose to take his place on the second line and Michael McCarron to assume Shaw's role as the net-front presence on the team's top power-play unit.

Shaw had two assists, one shot on goal, one hit and a minor penalty in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has picked up three helpers over the past three games, all while skating on a recently formed line with Max Pacioretty and Phillip Danault. That combination accounted for three even-strength goals Saturday with each finishing plus-3 -- being on the plus side of that metric has been a rarity in the early going for any Habs player. Since head coach Claude Julien rejiggered the lines, Montreal has scored 10 goals over three games.

Shaw had an assist, four shots on net and five hits in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw broke his season-opening pointless streak when he and his linemates crashed the net following a turnover behind the Kings' net. Shaw and Phillip Danault both assisted on Paul Byron's second goal of the season. That trio was the best line for Montreal on Wednesday. They not only produced the team's lone goal, but had seven shots and 11 hits while being among the leaders in ice time.

Shaw (neck) has been included in the lineup for Wednesday's preseason tilt with Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The former Blackhawk suffered the injury on Sept. 18 during the team's first preseason game and only returned to full practice Sunday. Shaw projects to skate on the second line with Alex Galchenyuk and Michael McCarron on Wednesday, and he'll be hoping to play his way in to a top-6 forward role for the regular season.
