Shaw had an assist, four shots, one block and four minutes in penalty over 15:41 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
The assist was Shaw's first point in the four games since returning from a lower-body injury. He also has six PIM, nine hits and five blocked shots during that span. This has been a frustrating season for all of the Canadiens, so it would not be surprising to see Shaw increase the rate of agitation stats, like PIM and hits.

Shaw was held off the scoresheet in his return from injury against the Islanders on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw's inability to tickle the twine certainly didn't come from lack of effort, as he registered four shots on goal while logging 13:00 of ice time. The center did get some time on the power play (0:21) and could see that role expanded in future contests. With his 19-game absence behind him, the 26-year-old will look to get his season back on track.

Shaw (lower body) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Islanders, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has been absent since Jan. 15 while recovering from the injury, missing Montreal's last 19 games. Though the Habs have struggled this season, Shaw's been productive when he's been healthy, scoring 10 goals and 19 points in 43 games. Shaw should provide a boost to Montreal's power play upon returning, having already bagged a career-high five power-play goals in 2017-18. Expect Shaw to skate on the team's fourth line along with Nikita Scherbak and Byron Froese during even-strength play.

Shaw (lower body) is currently on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw's been out since Jan. 13 with his lower-body injury. There's no sense in the Habs rushing the agitator back into the lineup given that their chances of making the playoffs have been reduced to a fraction.

Shaw (lower body) was cleared for contact Friday but will still sit out Saturday's game against the Lightning, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw hasn't played since Jan. 13, so the Canadiens want him to absorb some hits and get his legs ready before reinserting him into the lineup. The 26-year-old forward is effective in a bottom-six role, accruing 10 goals and 19 points while averaging 16:09 of ice through 43 games. Keep an eye out for updates on his status before Monday's game against the Flyers.

Shaw (lower body) did not practice Wednesday because of the flu, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Coach Claude Julien said Shaw (lower body) is unlikely to play before next Monday's trade deadline, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw, who has missed 15 games due to the injury, returned to practice this week and has been ruled out of Tuesday's road game in Philadelphia.

Shaw (lower body) has been ruled out of Tuesday's road contest against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the encouraging news of Shaw practicing with his teammates Monday, the team deemed him not ready for its next game. The pesky forward is now set to miss his 16th consecutive tilt and will likely be spelled by Logan Shaw in the lineup Tuesday. Andrew Shaw typically plays a bottom-six role for the Habs, but his absence will continue to be felt with the man advantage, where the former Blackhawk has scored five of his 10 goals on the season.

Shaw (lower body) will join his teammates for Monday's practice session.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw's return to practice -- along with Nikita Scherbak's demotion to the minors -- bodes well for his reintroduction to the lineup against the Flyers on Tuesday. The Ontario native missed the Habs' previous 15 outings due to his lower-body injury. Once given the green light, the natural center could challenge for the 30-point mark -- a threshold he's reached twice in his career.

Shaw (lower body) has started skating, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hickey speculates that Shaw, who hasn't played since Jan. 13, could be ready next week, which would beat the timeline established at the end of January when it was reported Shaw needed another four-to-six weeks. Shaw isn't on the team's current four-game road trip, so the earliest he could return is Feb. 22, at the Bell Centre against the Rangers.
