Matt Schaub completed 14-of-26 passes for just 95 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Texans' Week 10 win over the Bears. Sunday Night Football was a battle of who could hold onto the ball the longest. Chicago turned the ball over five times on the night, so Schaub's two interceptions didn't hurt particularly bad. His score went to Arian Foster in the second quarter and came from two yards out to secure the win. Schaub and the 8-1 Texans host the lowly Jaguars in Week 11, and the passing game should be firing on all cylinders.

Matt Schaub completed 23-of-37 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns as the Texans blew out the Ravens in Week 7. Schaub was surgical in the first half, generating nearly 200 of his yards and both of his scoring tosses in the first two quarters. The Texans largely took the air out of the football in the second half with a mammoth lead. Although the numbers don't always reflect it due to Houston's run-heavy offense, Schaub is playing some of the best ball of his life this season. The Texans have a Week 8 bye and will face a terrible Bills defense on the other side.

Matt Schaub had a night to forget in Houston's 42-24, Week 6 loss to the Packers, completing 20-of-33 passes for 232 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Schaub was called on to throw after Houston fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter and 28-10 early in the third, and didn't deliver, tossing two ugly picks in the fourth quarter. Schaub never looked comfortable against a Packers defense that did everything it could to stop Arian Foster and force Houston to beat it through the air. The good news is, the two picks matched Schaub's total through his first five games, while he's still sporting a tidy 8:4 TD:INT ratio and averaging 232 yards per game. Tonight is further proof that Schaub's QB1 days are long gone, however.

Matt Schaub completed just 14-of-28 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Monday night's Week 5 win over the Jets. Schaub had a clean pocket for the entire night but still couldn't get much going in the passing game, so Arian Foster carried the Texans to victory to stay undefeated. Head coach Gary Kubiak and Schaub were also dealing with communication and headset issues at various times. Houston's play-action offense was working well, though, as usual. Schaub is purely a game manager and is no more than a QB2. Houston welcomes the Packers to town in Week 6.

Matt Schaub completed 20-of-28 passes for 202 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Texans' Week 4 win over the Titans. Schaub was extremely sharp as the Texans jumped out to a 14-0 lead. He continues to dominate with angle and arrow routes over the middle, allowing his receivers to do work after the catch. Schaub is now completing a spectacular 66.9 percent of passes on the season. He's on pace for 3,812 yards, 28 touchdowns and four interceptions. They are sustainable QB2 numbers for the game manager.

The Houston Texans are the only team who through three weeks has passed on fewer than 50 percent of its offensive plays. The Texans tied for the league lead with Tim Tebow's read-option Broncos in rushing attempts last year, and they're picking up right where they left off. Houston is averaging 39.0 carries per game, while the Redskins are a relatively distant second at 35.3. While this is good news for NFL workload leader Arian Foster, it's a reminder that Matt Schaub remains entrenched as a QB2.

Matt Schaub had his shoulder X-rayed following Sunday's win over Denver. He "said everything was fine." Schaub threw for 290 yards and four touchdown passes against the Broncos, although those aren't sustainable numbers for a quarterback who plays in the league's run-heaviest offense. He's still worth holding onto as a mid-range to high-end QB2. The Texans face the Titans next.
