Malcom Floyd caught two passes for 36 yards before leaving Sunday's loss to the Jets with a hip injury.
The extent of the injury is unknown, but Floyd has been incredibly brittle over the past couple of seasons. He's probably head for more missed practice time. Floyd has mostly been a fantasy non-factor when Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson have played this season. The Chargers visit the Chiefs next.

Malcom Floyd caught three passes for 100 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Broncos.
Floyd benefited from extra attention being paid to Vincent Jackson. With the safety biting on V-Jax's crossing route in the second quarter, Floyd got open behind the defense for a 42-yard touchdown. He also didn't see any of Champ Bailey all day. But with a bye on deck and the Jets after that, Floyd won't be a great waiver option.

Malcom Floyd is not on the Chargers' Week 5 injury report.
He's practicing without limitations. Floyd has played through shoulder and groin injuries since the beginning of the season. With Vincent Jackson (hamstring, abdomen) banged up, Floyd may be an intriguing bye-week WR3 at Denver.

Philip Rivers revealed after Sunday's win that Malcom Floyd is playing through a shoulder injury in addition to his bad groin.
Rivers said that Floyd was "going on a bad shoulder" in his post-game press conference. Floyd managed just two catches for 26 yards and has not scored a touchdown or exceeded 60 yards in any game yet this season. He's not a fantasy option until he proves on the field that he can be a productive, healthy player.

Malcom Floyd (groin) returned to Chargers practice Friday.
After playing about two dozen snaps in Week 3, Floyd was given Wednesday and Thursday's practices off. He's expected to be available against the Dolphins.

Malcom Floyd (groin) was held out of Chargers practice again on Thursday.
The Chargers pushed Floyd back last week even though he was listed as doubtful. It's hardly a positive sign that he's yet to practice this week. He won't be a fantasy option against the Dolphins even if he does play Sunday.

Malcom Floyd (groin) was held out of Chargers practice Wednesday.
In Norv Turner's tenure, Floyd became the first Chargers starter ever to appear in a game after being listed as doubtful last week. The Chargers held a ton of skill players out of Wednesday's practice, probably in an effort to manage dings and nicks. Look for Floyd to play against the Dolphins Sunday.

Malcom Floyd (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
It's a major surprise as Floyd was listed as doubtful and Chargers' beat writers were virtually certain the No. 2 wideout would sit. With Antonio Gates (foot) sidelined, Floyd now projects to see plenty of targets. Note that Vincent Brown is active as well.

Malcom Floyd (groin) missed Chargers practice again on Friday and is not expected to play in Week 3.
Career slot receiver Patrick Crayton is expected to see snaps at outside receiver, which is probably stretching him too much. Crayton isn't going to beat any DBs on a downfield route with 4.7 speed. (The Chargers really could use some Seyi Ajirotutu right now.) The extent of Floyd's injury is unknown.

Malcom Floyd missed Chargers practice Wednesday with a groin injury.
HC Norv Turner indicated earlier on Wednesday that Floyd may be sidelined against the Chiefs this weekend, and this is not a good first step toward being active. You already shouldn't be counting on having Floyd in Week 3, but if he's out again on Thursday, he's all but certain to be inactive.
