Malcom Floyd (hip) did not participate in the Chargers' Monday walkthrough practice.
Floyd sat out all of last week and Sunday's loss to the Packers, so he clearly had a setback at some point. His status is uncertain for Thursday night.

Malcom Floyd (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Vincent Brown gets his first career NFL start. Floyd did warm up and stretch before the game, suggesting his hip issue isn't a long-term concern.

Malcom Floyd (hip) missed his third straight day of practice Friday, suggesting he won't play in Week 9.
Floyd must have suffered a setback with the hip at some point late in last Monday night's loss, or during the practice week. He ultimately didn't get anything done in team drills. Floyd has often been unable to play full complements of snaps when less than 100 percent, so he should be downgraded on Week 9 fantasy cheatsheets. He'd be an extremely dicey WR3.

Malcom Floyd (hip) missed his second straight practice Thursday.
As usual, Floyd's status is up in the air. However, he is believed to have escaped Monday's loss to the Chiefs without worsening his hip injury, and there's a good chance he'll return to Chargers practice Friday before being listed as questionable on the injury report. For now, you can tentatively expect to have him as a WR3 against the Packers.

Malcolm Floyd posted 107 yards on five catches in the Chargers' Week 8 loss to the Chiefs.
With plenty of single coverage to be found, Floyd shared the team-lead with seven targets and made the most of his chances. With two 100-yard contests in his last three outings, he'll be a fairly risky WR3 against the Packers next week.

Malcom Floyd (hip) participated in Chargers practice for the second straight day Saturday.
The exact extent of his participation isn't yet clear, but it's obviously a great sign for his Week 8 availability that he was able to practice on back-to-back days. He'll likely be officially questionable for Monday Night Football, but should be active barring a setback. Having surpassed 50 yards just twice this season and averaging only 2.33 catches, Floyd is a poor bye week fill-in.

Malcom Floyd (hip) returned to Chargers practice Friday.
NBC San Diego's Michael Gehlken now believes Floyd is likely to play on Monday Night Football. The Chargers figure to monitor Floyd over the weekend and see how his body bounces back from Friday's practice. Regardless of Floyd's availability, he won't be a recommended fantasy option against Kansas City.

Malcom Floyd (hip) was held out of practice again on Thursday.
Floyd has never been a fast healer, and coach Norv Turner expressed concern about his status earlier in the week. We wouldn't expect to see him against the Chiefs this week.

Malcom Floyd (hip) missed Chargers practice Wednesday.
Floyd's Week 8 status is uncertain after he was unable to return for the second half of last week's game. Patrick Crayton is next up on the depth chart.

Malcom Floyd's status is in question for Week 8 after sustaining a hip injury against the Jets.
Floyd left last week's game with the injury. Considering his history, he's not a great bet to recover quickly. According to Pro Football Focus, Patrick Crayton played 17 snaps against the Jets compared to just six for Vincent Brown. Neither is a great fantasy bet if Floyd is forced to sit out this week.
