Coach Norv Turner indicated that WR Malcom Floyd (groin) could miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Floyd was on his way to a big game against the Patriots' leaky secondary last week when he strained a muscle in the second quarter. He'll almost certainly miss some practice time this week. Fantasy owners should be exploring other options as the Chargers figure to be sitting on a big lead for much of Sunday anyway.

Malcom Floyd did not return after leaving Sunday's game with a second-quarter groin injury. Details are scant, but it's usually an ominous sign for an injured player's status the next week when he doesn't return in the previous one. Floyd has five catches for 104 yards on the young season. San Diego hosts Kansas City next.

Malcom Floyd caught three passes for 45 yards against the Vikings in Week 1. Floyd was targeted eight times (five more than Vincent Jackson), but failed to capitalize. Most weeks Floyd will be the fourth target in the passing game, leaving him just shy of WR3 value.

Malcom Floyd (concussion) returned to a limited practice Wednesday. Floyd picked up a mild concussion and was poked in the eye during last Sunday's second preseason game. He's now ready to go as a situational deep threat opposite Vincent Jackson. The 2011 Draft Guide projects Floyd for just 42 catches this season.

Coach Norv Turner said that Malcom Floyd's concussion does not appear severe. Floyd's head was slammed into the Cowboy Stadium turf during the second quarter last night. While Turner pledged to "be careful" with his No. 2 wideout, he added that Floyd was "doing extremely well. He cleared up." There's no reason to think this will linger into the regular season.

Malcom Floyd left Sunday night's game against the Cowboys with a concussion. The side of Floyd's helmet slammed into the ground on a second-quarter reception. He was dazed and unresponsive on the sidelines, so the Bolts will likely hold him out of practice this week. Barring a setback, this shouldn't affect his fantasy status.

Chargers re-signed WR Malcom Floyd to a two-year contract. The Ravens are in the big losers in this one; Baltimore really could've used a field-stretching wideout to take full advantage of Joe Flacco's big arm. The 30-year-old Floyd will return to his No. 2 wide receiver role in San Diego, playing third fiddle in the passing game to Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson. Floyd will essentially serve as a situational deep threat, and won't be worth targeting as more than a WR4 in 12-team leagues.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens "remain the favorites" to sign free agent Malcom Floyd, and a deal could be finalized by Friday. The Sun's Jamison Hensley reports that Floyd wants to play in Baltimore. The fit couldn't be better, as the 30-year-old (in September) wideout already knows OC Cam Cameron's offense from their time together in San Diego. The Ravens are very interested in a veteran deep threat; they don't want to hand the job opposite Anquan Boldin to Torrey Smith just yet. Floyd figures to command $3-4 million annually -- an affordable rate for Baltimore.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports the Ravens are in the driver's seat for free agent Malcom Floyd. According to the Tribune's Kevin Acee, Floyd appears to be "on his way out of town." The Ravens are reportedly willing to pay Floyd more than the $3 million a year the Chargers have said they will not go over. From the sound of things, Floyd could be a Raven by as early as this evening.

Free agent WR Malcom Floyd is "nearing a decision," according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. Floyd is the biggest free agent piece left on the market from a fantasy perspective. The Chargers are said to still be interested if the price is right, but the Ravens are still among the front-runners. The Panthers, Cardinals, and 49ers are also in the mix. We're expecting Floyd to land with the highest bidder.
