Malcolm Floyd posted 107 yards on five catches in the Chargers' Week 8 loss to the Chiefs.
With plenty of single coverage to be found, Floyd shared the team-lead with seven targets and made the most of his chances. With two 100-yard contests in his last three outings, he'll be a fairly risky WR3 against the Packers next week.
Risky WR3 in what should be a huge shootout? I say he's a solid WR3, maybe a moderately strong WR2. He's not even that far being Vincent Jackson in Fantasy Points this year. You know teams are gonna blanket Jackson, and Gates has been having his issues this year. If he had a couple more TDs, everyone would be saying he's a must-start this week. 1 thing people keep ignoring is the extra value he has on a high scoring team like the Chargers. And, with their defense not as strong as it was last season, they will be in a lot more shootouts. I might play Floyd the rest of the season.
Yeah, but we're in "the now" now. He's done great the past few weeks. I know, it was crazy. He wasn't even listed as being able to play. Whatever, I'm sicking of leaving guys on the bench 'cuz of concerns and then having them blow it up. I benched Beanie this week and that week he got 30. Fantasy football is cool and there's some skill I believe, but WRs are the hardest to predict and even with the best WRs it's still a crapshoot week to week.

In the 3rd sentence, I meant "far behind Vincent Jackson".

I think the main reason for the skepticism is that he's been so inconsistent and fragile. The guy had done almost nothing until the last couple weeks.

Right on. But this week the Lions are getting well needed rest. Floyd could do
alright, Tolbert will get more action near the goal line, running and receiving!
Rivers can pull out the win this week, but he will have to have his best game of
this season.
