The Denver Post suggests mega-agent Tom Condon's "home run" scenario would be to have free agent Elvis Dumervil sign with the Ravens, Dwight Freeney go to the Broncos, and Osi Umenyiora land with the Falcons. The idea is notable because Condon reps all three players. His agency -- CAA -- is controlling the top of the free-agent defensive end market. The Post does suggest agents Tony Agnone and Rich Rosa, who rep free agent John Abraham, could throw the market a curveball by having Abraham sign with Denver. Expect the four free agent ends to have new homes by the middle of next week.

Profootballtalk.com reports the Steelers are interested in free agent DEs Dwight Freeney and Elvis Dumervil. Pittsburgh is still looking for someone to come in and replace James Harrison. It's unlikely that Dumervil will be playing anywhere other than Denver or Baltimore, but Freeney could be an option. The Steelers already whiffed on free agent OLB Victor Butler.

Free agent DEs Dwight Freeney and John Abraham both left their Thursday visits with the Broncos without contracts. The Broncos are looking at all of their options, and recently released Elvis Dumervil remains on the radar. It's likely that all three are asking for more money than the market is willing to shell out. Once one of Abraham, Freeney, or Osi Umenyiora finds a home, it should create a trickle effect for the others.

Free agent Dwight Freeney will visit the Broncos on Wednesday. ESPN reports the Broncos also "plan to host" free agent John Abraham. It's an indication Denver is moving on from free agent Elvis Dumervil, or at least trying to force him into a decision (again). Peyton Manning reportedly "wants" Freeney in Denver, and could be a key factor in whomever the Broncos end up going with at right end.

CBS Sports reports the Ravens have "expressed interest" in free agent Dwight Freeney. League sources tell reporter Jason La Canfora that free agent Elvis Dumervil is the Ravens' top target for pass-rushing help, but that Freeney and perhaps Osi Umenyiora are also possibilites. Freeney has made just one visit since the start of free agency, venturing to New England last Friday.

Free agents John Abraham and Dwight Freeney have both left Patriots headquarters without signing deals. "My gut says that would indicate no immediate deal," reported NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Patriots might be smart to kick the tires on 29-year-old Elvis Dumervil before committing to 35-year-old Abraham or 33-year-old Freeney.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Peyton Manning "wants" free agent DE Dwight Freeney in Denver. With Elvis Dumervil contract renegotiation talks going nowhere, this Freeney connection is becoming more than idle chatter between two old teammates. The Broncos could save upwards of $7 million if they cut Dumervil and sign Freeney to a $5 million per year deal. Per PFT, though Manning "has no plan to make a power play, he has a way of getting his point across."

The Boston Herald expects the Patriots to show interest in free agent DEs Dwight Freeney, Osi Umenyiora, and John Abraham. New England loves their veterans. All three of these guys are going to be connected to a number of teams, and the Patriots are just one of many fits. New England finished the 2012 season right in the middle of the pack with 37 sacks, and adding one of these three to Rob Ninkovich, Chandler Jones, and Vince Wilfork would make plenty of sense.

Per the National Football Post, the Broncos and Falcons "appear" to have shown early interest in free agent Dwight Freeney. This isn't the first time we've seen these clubs linked to 32-year-old Freeney. Seattle is also in pursuit of a short-term edge presence and could join the mix if it misses out on free agent John Abraham. Abraham is the top aging free-agent pass rusher available. Osi Umenyiora is second, and Freeney is third.
