Freeney (not injury related) was a full participant in Friday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
The Lions claimed Freeney off waivers last week but didn't choose to play him for the Week 12 game against the Vikings. However, after practicing in full fashion both Thursday and Friday, the legendary sack master seems ready to make his Lions debut Sunday against the Ravens.

Freeney will not play in Thursday's game against the Vikings, Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Lions claimed Freeney off waivers Wednesday after he was waived by the Seahawks, so it isn't too surprising to see that he'll be inactive for at least one week while he adjusts to being with his new team. Freeney is expected to be used as a depth option and situational pass rusher on the Lions' defensive line once he is officially made active.

The Lions claimed Freeney off waivers Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeney reunites with Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, who coached the defensive end in Indianapolis from 2009 to 2011. Freeney, who was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday after logging three sacks in four games, will provide Detroit with extra depth while Ezekiel Ansah (back) works his way back to form.

Freeney was waived by Seattle on Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeney signed with Seattle a month ago and has played four games with the team. His release comes as a bit of a surprise as the veteran defensive end tallied 3.0 sacks in his short stint with the Seahawks. His release could lead to some added snaps for Branden Jackson and Dion Jordan. Freeney will be free to sign with any team if he clears waivers.

Freeney recorded a pair of sacks in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
Freeney now has 2.5 sacks in two games since joining the Seahawks, which account for his only tackles thus far. The veteran defensive end played 25 of 63 snaps Sunday, a snap percentage which will likely continue as he is expected to be utilized mostly in passing situations.

Freeney recorded a half-sack in his debut with the Seahwasks on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The half-sack was Freeney's only recorded tackle on the day. The veteran was on the field for just 18 snaps (25.0 percent). That will presumably be the veteran's workload for the near future as eases his way into things with the team.

Freeney intends to sign with the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The former All Pro defensive end is heading to Seattle after visiting with the team earlier in the day. Freeney spent last season with the Falcons, recording ten tackles and three sacks in 15 games. The Seahawks were looking to add some firepower to their defensive line after Cliff Avril suffered a neck injury and was placed on injured reserve. Freeney, now 37, has a career total of 122.5 sacks, which puts him at 18th most all time.

Freeney is scheduled to visit the Seahawks on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeney indicated in the offseason that he was interested in continuing his playing career, but apparently didn't find the right fit. The 37-year-old will undergo a physical in Seattle on Tuesday, and best case would likely serve as a edge rusher in passing situations.

Freeney intends to continue playing going into the 2017 season, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeney, who is likely destined for the Hall of Fame once he retires, ended his 15th season with four sacks over the Falcons' final eight total games, including one in their Super Bowl collapse. That followed Freeney posting eight sacks during the 2015 regular season, proving he's still impactful in a situational pass-rushing role. Set to be a free agent at 37 years old, Freeney is clearly not an every-down option, but his pedigree off the edge should still garner interest on the open market.
