Freeney plans to play another season in 2015, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next week, Freeney has just nine sacks in 34 games over the last three seasons. While not the gameplan-ruining monster he once was, he seemingly has enough left in the tank to keep contributing as a situational pass rusher. Now 35 years old, Freeney has long been out of the IDP conversation.

Freeney rested Wednesday, before returning to a full practice session Thursday and is good to go for Sunday's game against the Rams. Despite the name recognition, Freeney is off the fantasy radar, with seven tackles and two sacks through 10 games to date.

It's very hard to imagine Freeney sustaining effectiveness on this kind of workload. San Diego's defense is going to struggle to defend the pass this season.
