Tony Allen played 14 minutes and had just four rebounds and a steal to his credit on Friday.
Allen has not been able to get into the swing of things since his mouth injury, and while it makes sense that he does, anything can happen at this time of the year. He's still worth a look as a steals specialist, regardless.

Tony Allen finally returned from his mouth injury on Saturday, but didn't do much, finishing with six points, three rebounds and two assists in a win over the Jazz.
He didn't have a steal, block or 3-pointer tonight, but did play 24 minutes. It appears to be safe to get him back in your lineup if you need him.

As expected, Tony Allen (mouth) should return to the lineup on Saturday against the Jazz.
Aleln had his stitches removed around his mouth and cheek, and he went through "what appeared to be" his usual pre-game workout routine before Thursday's game against the Spurs. We fully expect the defensive-stopper to be back in the starting five on Saturday, where he'll return to averages of 10.5 points and 1.7 steals per game.

Tony Allen (mouth) is expected to be back in the lineup this weekend.
The Grizzlies play on both Saturday and Sunday, so the gritty swingman could return in either of those two games. Owners will have to check back for a more definitive update when one becomes available, but he should resume his starting role when cleared to return. He's averaging 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals this season.

Updating a previous item, Tony Allen (mouth) is questionable to play on Wednesday against the Suns.
Allen participated in a light practice on Tuesday and rode the stationary bike, but we won't get an idea on his status until closer to tipoff. Quincy Pondexter would likely fill in once again in the starting lineup if Allen is unable to play.

Tony Allen (mouth) will get his stitches removed on Wednesday.
Allen had to have 14 stitches to close the "severe cut" around his mouth and cheek, but he'll get them removed on Wednesday, a positive sign for his progress. He remains without a timetable to return, but the Grizzlies play on Wednesday against the Suns and again on Thursday against the Spurs.

Tony Allen (mouth) is without a timetable for his return.
Allen is listed as day-to-day, but had to have 14 stitches to close the "severe cut" around his mouth and cheek. He's as tough as they come, but Allen's return date remains up in the air. Quincy Pondexter has started three straight games at shooting guard, but he's averaging just 6.7 points and 3.0 rebounds over six games in that role.

Tony Allen (facial laceration) will not play in Monday's game against the Clippers.
Allen's mouth injury is turning out to be worse than originally anticipated. This is his third straight game out and gives Quincy Pondexter another start at shooting guard. Pondexter is averaging just 7.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in his five starts this season.

Tony Allen (mouth) will miss Friday night's game against the Heat.
Quincy Pondexter will start in Allen's place and is only a recommended play for Allen owners in a pinch.
