Smart (leg) is aiming to return at the end of December or beginning of January, Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart continues to rehab a lower left leg subluxation, which has kept him out of the lineup for nearly a calendar month. He's no longer walking with the help of crutches and it was reported last week that he'd resumed lifting weights in an attempt to strengthen the leg. Until Smart returns to practice, it's difficult to estimate when he might return, but given Thursday's timetable, he figures to be back within the next 2-to-3 weeks.

Smart (leg) will be reevaluated at the end of this week, Scott Souza of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Celtics have remained fairly mum on Smart's recovery from the "subluxation of the proximal tibfib joint" he suffered in late November, other than coach Brad Stevens relaying last week that the guard resumed lifting weights. Smart is no longer using a leg brace or crutches to get around, but until he's back on the court partaking in practices, his return date will remain far off.

Smart (knee) has been lifting weights and progressing through rehab, Scott Souza of MetroWest Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart dislocated his leg in November and is expected to miss another few weeks, but this is a good sign for his return. In his absence, Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley will continue to fill his minutes.

Smart (leg) will come off the bench initially when he rejoins the lineup, A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart hasn't played since Nov. 20 because of the injury, and is expected to miss a few more weeks, so it's not surprise he'll be eased back into action. The news likely means Avery Bradley will remain in the starting lineup upon his return, but Smart should definitely eat into his minutes when healthy.

Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that Smart (leg) won't require surgery, but is expected to miss "another few weeks," Brian Robb of CelticsHub.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
When Smart first suffered the lower left leg dislocation in November, the Celtics were initially hopeful that he'd only have to miss two weeks, but it looks like that proved to be overly optimistic. Smart has been walking without the aid of crutches for about a week, but he has yet to resume basketball-related activities and it's looking likely that he won't be back until late December, though the Celtics haven't outlined an official timetable.

Smart (leg) is expected to remain out through the Celtics' upcoming five-game road trip, Scott Souza of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart is no longer using crutches, but he continues to wear a bulky leg brace, per A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN. Coach Brad Stevens said it's all but a certainty that Smart misses all five games of the road trip, and he called Smart a "long shot" to return for one of the first two games following the road swing (Dec. 9, Dec. 11). As such, Smart should continue to be considered out indefinitely, and at this point it's unclear when, exactly, he could rejoin the team.

Smart (lower left leg) said Wednesday that he's without a definitive timetable for a return, but expects to miss more than the two weeks initially suggested earlier this week, A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Blakely's report, Smart has been using crutches along with a leg brace to aid his recovery from a subluxation (dislocation) of the proximal tibfib joint, which doesn't exactly paint an optimistic picture about his recovery. The Celtics will likely wait and see how he progresses over the next week before perhaps offering up a better estimation of how much time he might miss. For the time being, those who are holding Smart in shallower formats can probably cut bait, unless there's a IR spot available to stash him. While Smart remains sidelined, Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley should routinely receive 30-plus minutes per game, while bench players Evan Turner, Terry Rozier, and R.J. Hunter could see smaller bumps in playing time.

Smart (knee) is expected to miss at least the next two weeks, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was already expected to miss Sunday's game, but will now be forced to remain sidelined for at least two weeks after re-evaluating his knee injury. With Smart sitting out, Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas should hold down the starting backcourt positions. Evan Turner and Terry Rozier could see a bump in minutes as well.

Smart (knee) will not play Sunday in Brooklyn, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is not a surprise considering Smart did not travel with the team. He hurt his knee in Friday's win over Brooklyn, but will not be able to help the Celtics do it again Sunday. It is unclear the timetable for Smart's return, but the earliest he could potentially return is Tuesday in Atlanta. Expect an update before then.

Smart will undergo an MRI on his knee, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Martin did not have the knee wrapped after Friday's win over Brooklyn, coach Brad Evans said Martin will undergo an MRI after colliding with a Nets player, leaving his status for Sunday up in the air. Martin scored seven points on 2-of-5 shooting in 21 minutes Friday, adding two rebounds, four assists and a steal.
