Smart (ankle) finished with two points (1-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 31 minutes in Saturday's 94-92 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Smart, who returned to a bench role Saturday following the return of Jae Crowder (ankle), didn't seem to be hampered by the ankle injury he picked up a night earlier in a loss to the Warriors. It was encouraging to see the Celtics hand him such a hefty workload even with the team back at full strength for the first time season, but Smart's familiar shooting woes resurfaced to cast a pall on his performance. Though Smart owns a 37.6 percent mark from the field in 2016-17, remarkably, it's the best showing of his career after he shot 36.7 percent as a rookie and 34.8 percent last season.
