Whiteside made his first career start Wednesday and put up 10 points (5-10 FG), 12 rebounds, and three blocks in 29 minutes. Whiteside should be owned in all standard leagues. Don't walk. Run to pick him up. While he's been added in most competitive leagues, a move into the starting lineup should be enough to convince the naysayers of Whiteside's potential the rest of this season. Over the last five games, he's averaged 13.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks in 25 minutes per game. His production is legit. Don't sit on him any longer.

Whiteside has moved into the starting lineup at center for the Heat on Wednesday, the Warriors' official site reports. Whiteside came out of nowhere to start posting great big-man lines after the New Year. Through five games in January, he's averaged 14.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks in 23 minutes per game. Whiteside should be owned in literally all leagues right now.

Whiteside was expected to start the second half of Tuesday's game, but that plan was thrown out the window. He came off the bench for both halves and put up 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, and five blocks in 21 minutes. It doesn't matter if Whiteside is coming off the bench, he's producing. Whiteside should be owned universally at the moment, so if he's still sitting on the waiver wire, go grab him. Over his last five games, he's averaged 14.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks in 23 minutes per game. He also shot 77 percent from the field in those games. The Heat don't have depth in the frontcourt, and they're winning games with Whiteside playing a bigger role.

Whiteside will start the second half of Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Joe Goodman of the Miami Herald reports. Whiteside has been putting up unexpectedly great numbers of late, which has led to coach Erik Spoelstra starting him to begin the second half of late. The rangy center put up 23 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 29 minutes Sunday. If he maintains strong production, he'll likely challenge Chris Andersen for the starting spot, but for now Spoelstra said he'll stick with The Birdman to begin games, with Whiteside starting the third quarter.

Whiteside scored 23 points (10-13 FG, 3-4 FT), while pulling down 16 rebounds, with two steals, and two blocks in 29 minutes on Sunday. It's now time to officially start paying attention to Hassan Whiteside. He may not have big games like this on a nightly basis, however it's evidence that the Heat want to see what they have in the young center. Considering Chris Anderson and Justin Hamilton are his only competition he could carve out a larger role for himself going forward.

Whiteside scored in double-digits for the third straight game in Thursday's loss to Portland. The unheralded center scored 10 points to go with eight rebounds and four blocks in just 19 minutes Thursday. On Sunday against Brooklyn he put up 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Saturday in Houston he posted 14 points to go with six boards and two blocks. While this recent spree could easily be nothing more than a mirage, Whiteside is certainly worth a look, particularly if he continues to produce blocks at such a high rate.

Whiteside double-doubled on Sunday, scoring 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT), to go along with 10 rebounds, one steal, and two five in 27 minutes. Whiteside has been stepping up lately, but is still just guy that's coming off the bench for the Heat. For now it's hard to say if Miami is trying to commit heavy minutes to him, but continue to monitor this situation to see what Miami does in the next few games.

Whiteside (toe) will be available for Tuesday's game. It was previously reported that Whiteside would not play Tuesday, but now it seems he may see action of the bench. Regardless of his status Tuesday, he's a low-end fantasy center.

Whiteside (toe) will not play Tuesday against the 76ers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Whiteside has appeared in just four games for the Heat this season. Even when he does get healthy, Whiteside is unlikely to have a significant role on the team. He played 16 minutes in Friday's loss to the Wizards, putting up six points, seven rebounds, and one block. It would take several injuries to the Heat's frontcourt for Whiteside to earn enough minutes to be relevant in anything but the deepest of leagues.

Whiteside (toe) is considered questionable to play Sunday against the Celtics. Whiteside played 16 minutes against Washington but had his foot stepped on and lost two toenails in the process. The injury isn't anything that will keep him out long-term, though he'll likely be dealing with considerable discomfort. If he doesn't play Sunday, expect to see more of Udonis Haslem and Chris Andersen (ankle).
