Hassan Whiteside saw the first meaningful minutes of his career on Monday, playing 14 total on his way to five points, seven rebounds, one steal, and two blocks. The issue with Whiteside has never been his athleticism, which is freaky for a 7-footer, it has been his serious knee injury that has delayed his career. Don't get us wrong, he's a mess on the court and is unlikely to play significant minutes until very late in the year, but if he gets let loose he could post some big dirty work numbers.

The Kings have assigned second-year center Hassan Whiteside to their D-League affiliate in Reno, the Bighorns. Whiteside is 7'0" with a crazy wingspan but he has two minutes of NBA experience in two seasons, and is obviously too raw to earn a spot in Sacramento's rotation.

Whiteside showed impressive athleticism and seems fully recovered from the knee surgery he had last March. Unfortunately, the Kings' frontcourt is loaded with young talent and Whiteside doesn't figure to play enough to have fantasy relevance.

Hassan Whiteside, coming off knee surgery, was moving well in Sunday's exhibition game. He's a shot-blocking machine, but after missing most of his rookie season, isn't expected to be much of a fantasy factor this year.
