Whiteside recorded 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 boards, three steals, and two blocks across 26 minutes in Sunday's 98-81 win over the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside saw his fewest minutes in his five games since returning from a one-game suspension, but he still managed a double-double for the fifth straight time. It appears coach Erik Spoelstra is content to bring Whiteside off the bench, but to his credit, the 26-year-old seems to be thriving in that capacity. Over those five games, he's averaging 18.8 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks, and one steal across 32.2 minutes, numbers that continue to make him one of the league's most productive fantasy centers.

Whiteside scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-3 FT) while adding a game-high 15 rebounds, eight blocks and a steal in 33 minutes off the bench during Saturday's loss to the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
He's already the first player in NBA history with multiple point-board-block triple-doubles off the bench in the same season, and Whiteside nearly picked up his fourth such TD on Saturday. His minutes are trending back up with Chris Bosh (calf) out of action again, and Whiteside is averaging a massive 19.5 points, 17.3 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in 33.8 minutes over the last four games. Perhaps the most impressive number over that stretch is his 77.8 percent (14-for-18) free throw shooting, well above his career 53.4 percent mark. If he can continue being effective from the charity stripe, he could be poised for a huge finish to the season.

Whiteside recorded 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-5 FT), 13 rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in 32 minutes during the Heat's 118-112 loss against the Warriors on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside got off to a stellar start, and had a phenomenal game overall. Still, he continues to struggle getting out to defend the three-point line on pick-and-rolls, and he let the Warriors' Stephen Curry step right into a couple long balls late in the game. Nevertheless, that's three straight exceptional showings from Whiteside, and he has at least been on the floor during crunch time these days with Chris Bosh (calf) out. With the Heat's All-Star big man out indefinitely, coach Erik Spoelstra seems like he has no choice but to trust in Whiteside going forward.

Whiteside scored 19 points (8-17 FG, 3-4 FT) while pulling down 18 rebounds with six blocks during 41 minutes off the bench in Monday's 101-93 overtime win against the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being left out of the starting five, Whiteside turned in another huge performance Monday. He was key in containing the Pacers down low and was able to his highest block total in five games. The absence of Chris Bosh (calf) has opened the court up a bit more for Whiteside to provide some offense, which he certainly has over the past two contests. Whiteside is 19-for-32 from the field with 44 points and 41 rebounds the last two games.

Whiteside had 25 points (11-15 FG, 3-7 FT), 23 rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes on Saturday in a win against the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside was simply amazing off the bench in his return from a one-game suspension against the Wizards on Saturday. His 25 points matched a season-high and the 23 rebounds were his best output of the year. To put this into perspective, it's only the 11th time in NBA history that a player coming off the bench had at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a single game. Obviously, there was some added motivation for Whiteside wanting to prove the doubters wrong, but he continues to be a must-play whether he's starting or coming off the bench.

Whiteside will come off the bench Saturday against the Wizards, the Palm Beach Post's Jason Lieser reports.
EDGE Analysis
He served a one-game suspension in the Heat's last game, but the team apparently wanted to further reprimand Whiteside, by temporarily taking away his starting role. Amar'e Stoudemire will start at center, and it remains to be seen how many minutes Whiteside sees off the bench.

Whiteside has been suspended for one game by the NBA and will be held out of Miami's game against Atlanta next Friday, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside was suspended for an elbow he threw that connected with Boban Marjonovic's head when the Heat played the Spurs earlier on Tuesday. He was given a flagrant two foul in that game and ejected. Whiteside should return to the starting lineup after the suspension is served.

Whiteside had 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes on Tuesday in a loss to the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside was assessed a flagrant-2 after he elbowed the Spurs' Boban Marjanovic trying to get possession of a rebound. This isn't the first time Whiteside has been down this road of trouble with the NBA, so a possible suspension could be looming. Whiteside did have a somewhat productive evening prior to the ejection, but he will definitely have to cool his jets going forward. This was the last game for the Heat before the All-Star break and it appears Whiteside's break could be a bit longer, but at least he'll be well rested when he returns.

Whiteside (ankle) is active and available to play off the bench Tuesday versus the Spurs according to Tuesday's TNT broadcast.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Whiteside looked good during Sunday's game against the Clippers, so it's not a surprise he's been cleared to play Tuesday. Coach Spoelstra also said that Whiteside could see big minutes against the Spurs, so after seeing just 17 minutes on Sunday, look for a large increase in his overall playing time. Whiteside will continue to come off the bench, while Amar'e Stoudemire will remain in the starting lineup.

Whiteside (ankle) is considered a game-time call for Tuesday's matchup with the Spurs, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside did not practice Monday, but coach Erik Spoelstra said he was encouraged by how Whiteside looked, noting that the center "could play big minutes" Tuesday night. While Whiteside's status won't be determined until just before game time, if he does play, he could be in for a significant minutes load off the bench, assuming Spoelstra sticks with Amar'e Stoudemire as his starting center.
