The big-man continues to thrive in his bench role, as he has now reeled off six consecutive double-doubles and has 12 in his last 13 games. Whiteside failed to block multiple shots for the first time since early February, but his average of 3.9 on the season suggests that he will bounce back sooner rather than later in that department. The perfect night at the line was a nice bonus for fantasy owners, and his 88% clip over the last four games represents an uptick from his season average of 62%.

Neither he nor Amar'e Stoudemire could do much to contain Jonas Valanciunas on the defensive end, however, as the Toronto center outscored both of them combined. Whiteside has now reeled off 12 straight games with at least 10 rebounds and two blocks, and should remain a frontcourt force over the final weeks of the season.

Per Elias Sports, Whiteside became the first player since Dennis Rodman to have 10 straight games with at least 10 rebounds off the bench. Whiteside has 28 double-doubles this season, and he has been thriving as the team's lone rim protector following the injury to Chris Bosh (calf).

Whiteside now has 23 double-doubles and two triple-doubles in 2015-16, and he has also handed out at least one assist in the last three games. It's a bit comical that he has less total assists (20) this season than double-doubles, but Whiteside also leads the league in blocks. The fact that he continues to come off the bench has not been a problem for him lately, as evidenced by his seven double-doubles in the last eight contests.

Whiteside had nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds, five blocks and a steal in 23 minutes on Thursday in a win over the Suns.

Whiteside was a massive presence once again, but the Heat didn't need a healthy dose of him on Thursday. The big man for the Heat is about as scorching-hot as you can find, and if you can find a more consistent big man, we'll have to wrestle for lunch money. Whiteside continues to produce while he's still coming off of the bench, but his numbers are just as good as anyone in the NBA. If you don't roster Whiteside at this point, you're basically digging your own grave.
