Whiteside recorded 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-5 FT), 13 rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in 32 minutes during the Heat's 118-112 loss against the Warriors on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside got off to a stellar start, and had a phenomenal game overall. Still, he continues to struggle getting out to defend the three-point line on pick-and-rolls, and he let the Warriors' Stephen Curry step right into a couple long balls late in the game. Nevertheless, that's three straight exceptional showings from Whiteside, and he has at least been on the floor during crunch time these days with Chris Bosh (calf) out. With the Heat's All-Star big man out indefinitely, coach Erik Spoelstra seems like he has no choice but to trust in Whiteside going forward.
