McDermott (shin) returned to the court and registered seven points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and four rebounds across 30 minutes during a 101-99 win over Brooklyn on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott returned from a one-game absence and was quite unproductive considering he was given 30 minutes. Minutes haven't equated to production for McDermott in December, as he is averaging 26.8 minutes per game so far this month and averaging just 8.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He hasn't shown an ability to be consistently productive quite yet this season.

McDermott (shin) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the Nets, Fred Hoiberg of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott missed Monday's contest versus the Pacers with a shin injury, but it appears to be just a minor ailment, as he's good to go after just a one-game absence. The Bulls didn't release anything mentioning a minutes restriction for McDermott, so he should be a full go and will likely see playing time around his season average of 25.3 minutes per game while working behind Jimmy Butler at small forward.

McDermott is dealing with a shin injury and won't play in Monday's game against the Pacers, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott missed 11 games earlier in the season with a concussion and it appears the injury bug has struck again, as he's now dealing with a shin injury. He'll sit out Monday, but should be considered day-to-day following the Bulls' matchup with the Pacers. The injury isn't expected to keep him out for an extended period of time, but Denzel Valentine and Nikola Mirotic should pick up some extra minutes off the bench in his absence.

McDermott registered 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 107-97 loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott has gotten more aggressive over the past two games as he's scored in double figures in consecutive games for the first time since early in the season. His 23 field goal attempts over the last two games are also the most he's had over a two-game stretch since October. His minutes are locked in at 25.8 per game so far this month, and with that kind of playing time, it wouldn't be surprising if he starts to score a bit more for Chicago.

McDermott (concussion) put up eight points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go with four rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes in Thursday's 95-91 win over the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott was cleared to play Thursday following an 11-game absence due to a concussion -- the second he's sustained this season -- and coach Fred Hoiberg wasted no time reintegrating the sharpshooter into his rotation. McDermott effectively assumed the minutes that had been going to the likes of Isaiah Canaan, Jerian Grant and Denzel Valentine, and though he didn't showcase his usual proficiency from downtown, it shouldn't be long before he discovers his stroke. While his standing as one of the NBA's top three-point specialists makes McDermott an asset off the bench for the Bulls, his one-dimensional production makes him less appealing in the fantasy realm.

EDGE Analysis
McDermott has missed the last 11 games for the Bulls while dealing with concussion symptoms and is finally cleared to play against the Spurs. The small forward is averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.7 minutes per game.

McDermott (concussion) was recalled Wednesday from the D-League's Windy City Bulls, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott continues to work back from a concussion and was sent down to the D-League to log a couple of extra practices. He's expected to meet with team doctors Wednesday with the hope of being cleared for a return to game action, so we should see another update on his status shortly. That said, the fact that he was recalled bodes well for a potential return in the near future, so McDermott may be available by the end of this weekend or early next week.

McDermott (concussion) will meet with team doctors Wednesday, with the hope of being cleared for Thursday's game against the Spurs, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott was able to go through two days of practice with the D-League's Windy City Bulls and didn't appear to suffer any setbacks in his recovery from a concussion. He's expected to meet with doctors at some point Wednesday, which should provide us an update for whether or not he officially graduated from the league-mandated concussion protocol. For now, consider him questionable for Thursday's tilt with the Spurs.

McDermott (concussion) was assigned to the Windy City Bulls of the NBA D-League on Monday, Chris Kuc of The Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott has missed the Bulls last nine games with a concussion but as recently be cleared for contact, so the move to the D-League is likely to get McDermott some extra reps before he plays again for the Bulls. It's currently unknown how long he will be there, but he may still miss a couple games as he continues to get his conditioning back up to speed.
