McDermott registered seven points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes during a 99-98 loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott followed up his 31-point outing on Sunday with a disappointing seven points against Dallas. He struggled with his shot and failed to get to the free throw line after attempting 11 free throws in the 31-point outburst. Other than the one big game, he has played pretty poorly lately. After he scored in double figures in five straight games from late December to early January, McDermott has now scored in single digits in five of the last six games.

McDermott scored 31 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 10-11 FT) to go along with six rebounds, one block and one steal across 33 minutes in Sunday's 108-104 victory over the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
Though McDermott came off the bench, he led the team in scoring and shot attempts en route to a new career high in that category. The third-year forward has been quite effective in recent times, but the four-game stretch of futility he experienced prior to Sunday's outburst indicate that he can still get lost in the shuffle at times when the Bulls have their full complement of players available to contribute.

McDermott will come off the bench Thursday against the Knicks, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott will return to the bench as Paul Zipser makes his first career start Thursday night. Jimmy Butler (illness) will miss his second straight contest so McDermott will still see plenty of minutes off the bench. However, if Butler continues to miss time, McDermott will likely have plenty of opportunities to return to the starting lineup.

McDermott started at small forward and provided four points (2-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 24 minutes in a 101-99 loss to the Wizards on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With the Bulls holding out Jimmy Butler (illness), Dwyane Wade (rest) and Nikola Mirotic (illness), McDermott was expected to serve as a primary scoring option for the Bulls while moving into the starting five, but he floundered mightily. Butler is uncertain to play Thursday against the Knicks, which could keep McDermott in a starting role for another game, but it will be difficult to trust him as a DFS option after this disappointing performance. As a player whose production is highly dependent on three-point shooting, there will likely be significant variance in McDermott's stat lines from game to game.

McDermott will get the start Tuesday against the Wizards, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, McDermott will get the nod at small forward, stepping in for Jimmy Butler, who will not play Tuesday due to illness. The Bulls are also without Dwyane Wade (rest) and Nikola Mirotic (illness), so McDermott should be in line for a heavy minutes load, making him an attractive option in daily contests, as well as a strong short-term add in season-long formats, as coach Fred Hoiberg intimated that Butler may be held out again on Thursday against New York.

McDermott scored 17 points (6-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, an assist and a steal in 38 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 123-118 overtime win over the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
It was his first double-double of the season and fifth game with double-digit points, as McDermott is starting to see more minutes and display some consistency off the Bulls' bench. He's still only averaging 13.6 points, 4.4 boards and 2,0 threes over the stretch, though, so barring an injury that might open up a starting spot for him, he's likely best left on the waiver wire in everything but very deep fantasy formats.

McDermott scored 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with six rebounds, one assist, and one steal across 32 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 106-94 win over the Cavs.
EDGE Analysis
With Dwyane Wade returning to the starting lineup after sitting out Monday's game to rest his knees, McDermott resumed his role off the bench. He still managed to log 32 minutes thanks to his early hot hand. The Creighton product was a perfect 6-6 from the field and 3-3 from deep in the first half, but he failed to record a field goal in the second despite the win.

McDermott will move back to the bench for Wednesday's matchup with the Cavaliers, Bulls radio play-by-play announcer Chuck Swirsky reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott drew the spot start Monday with Dwyane Wade (knees) sitting out, logging a big workload of 30 minutes. However, with Wade back in the starting five, McDermott will head back to the bench and should see a slight dip in playing time, although he'll still operate as one of the first wings off the bench and should remain a decent part of the team's regular rotation.

McDermott started and posted 11 points (5-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist across 30 minutes during a 118-111 victory against the Hornets on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott got his first start of the season as Dwyane Wade (knees) was sidelined. McDermott has played at least 29 minutes in the last four games, but hasn't produced a whole lot in that stretch, with averages of 10.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers and 1.3 assists per game. Wade isn't expected to miss much time, so McDermott could move back to the bench Wednesday against Cleveland.

McDermott will draw a spot start at shooting guard in Monday's game versus the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The start will be the young sharp-shooters first of the season. He is getting the nod due to Dwyane Wade being sidelined. He has averaged 27.5 minutes per game since returning from an 11 game absence on Dec. 8, and should be in line for an even heavier workload Monday.
