McDermott (concussion) put up eight points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go with four rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes in Thursday's 95-91 win over the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott was cleared to play Thursday following an 11-game absence due to a concussion -- the second he's sustained this season -- and coach Fred Hoiberg wasted no time reintegrating the sharpshooter into his rotation. McDermott effectively assumed the minutes that had been going to the likes of Isaiah Canaan, Jerian Grant and Denzel Valentine, and though he didn't showcase his usual proficiency from downtown, it shouldn't be long before he discovers his stroke. While his standing as one of the NBA's top three-point specialists makes McDermott an asset off the bench for the Bulls, his one-dimensional production makes him less appealing in the fantasy realm.
