McDermott managed two points (0-1 FG, 2-2 FT) and one assist across 14 minutes during Tuesday's 126-121 loss to the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday marked McDermott's smallest workload that he's seen as a member of the Thunder, registering just one field goal attempt in 14 minutes of action. In his six previous outings with the team, McDermott was averaging 7.8 points on 36.5 percent shooting and 3.8 rebounds across 29.0 minutes per game. Part of the reason for his lack of production Tuesday may be in part due to the Thunder playing 12 players throughout the game. It's unclear whether or not the Thunder plan on playing a massive rotation from here on out, but McDermott's minutes are worth monitoring, as his fantasy value could start deteriorating quickly if not given significant minutes.

McDermott totaled eight points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 19 minutes during a 110-93 victory against the Lakers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott came off the bench and got a good amount of playing time considering it was his team debut. That being said, 19 minutes is not enough run for him to put up strong numbers consistently. It will be interesting to see how the team continues to integrate McDermott, but for now, his upside looks somewhat limited.

McDermott is planning to take the floor during Friday's tilt against the Lakers, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott will likely provide relief off the bench for both Andre Roberson and Victor Oladipo, and could very well see the same 24.5 minutes per game he was receiving on the Bulls. He's knocking down 37 percent of his three-point attempts this season, but could see a higher volume of attempts considering the havoc that Russell Westbrook creates in the lane for opposing teams.

McDermott, Taj Gibson, and a 2018 second-round pick have been traded from the Bulls to the Thunder in exchange for Cameron Payne, Anthony Morrow, and Joffrey Lauvergne, Royce Young of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott was a target of the Thunder to provide some outside shooting touch from the forward position. The third-year small forward is averaging 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 24.5 minutes per game this season, all career highs. However, his 37 percent mark from beyond the arc is lower than the 43 percent he hit last year. McDermott will likely take over as the team's top backup behind starting small forward Andre Roberson and could see time at shooting guard behind Victor Oladipo as well.

McDermott contributed 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one steal over 30 minutes in Thursday's 104-103 win over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
While he wasn't at his most efficient from the floor, McDermott still posted his fourth straight double-digit scoring effort, and seventh in the last nine games overall. The 25-year-old has upped his scoring averages in each month of the season thus far, and is now tallying 11.0 points across an average of 21.6 minutes in eight February games. With Dwyane Wade out of the lineup in four of the last five games, McDermott has upped his involvement as well, as he's sporting a solid 20.8 percent usage rate over that span while also taking double-digit shot attempts in three straight games.

McDermott posted 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes during a 105-94 win over the Raptors on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The return to the bench did not hurt McDermott as the 20-point effort marked his third-highest scoring output of the season. This marks three consecutive games in double figures for McDermott, so his value has been trending up slightly recently. But part of that is due to the team's plethora of injuries. When Nikola Mirotic (back), Dwyane Wade (wrist) and Paul Zipser (ankle) return to action, McDermott's value will likely take a hit.

McDermott is expected to return to the bench for Tuesday's game against the Raptors, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
With both Dwyane Wade (wrist) and Jimmy Butler (heel) missing Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, McDermott was thrust into the starting lineup at small forward. He ended up playing 29 minutes, while posting 16 points (6-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and two turnovers. However, with Butler slated to rejoin the starting lineup Tuesday against the Raptors, McDermott should move back to the bench, which likely means a drop in playing time to minutes in the low 20's.

McDermott will start at small forward in Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Bulls are without Jimmy Butler (heel), Dwyane Wade (wrists), Nikola Mirotic (back) and Paul Zipser (ankle, illness) for Sunday's game, so as one of the few healthy wings left standing, McDermott will be appointed into the starting five. While the promotion should come with an expanded workload, McDermott's DFS upside is somewhat limited, as he typically only contributes in terms of scoring and three-pointers. He's averaging a meager 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.1 blocks in 24.0 minutes per game on the season.

McDermott posted four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt) with one assist in 17 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 123-92 loss against the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott was on his way to more minutes with Paul Zipser (ankle) checking out early, but he picked up three quick fouls to keep him nailed to the bench. If Jimmy Butler (heel) and Dwyane Wade (illness) need to miss more time, McDermott could have some short-term fantasy appeal.

McDermott will start Friday against the Heat, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDermott will be joined by rookie Paul Zipser in comprising Chicago's starting wing tandem Friday, when both Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler will come off the bench for disciplinary reasons. Despite that promotion and the turmoil surrounding the Bulls, McDermott may be hard-pressed to exceed his usual 25.3 minutes per game, so fantasy owners shouldn't shift their expectations of him much.
