Yu Darvish allowed three runs and three hits over seven innings Monday in beating the Royals.
Darvish had his scoreless streak up to 14 innings before giving up three runs in the sixth today. He's turned in four straight quality starts, which seems like a pretty good sign for the Rangers going forward. They're probably going to need an effective Darvish in order to make it back to the World Series for the third straight year.

Yu Darvish struck out 10 over seven shutout innings Tuesday in a 1-0 win over the Rays.
Impressive. Darvish allowed six hits and two walks while fanning 10 batters for the second straight start. This was his first scoreless outing since all the way back on April 24 against the Yankees. While Darvish has been pretty erratic since the All-Star break, he currently ranks fourth in the American League with 182 strikeouts. He'll carry a 4.31 ERA into a start against the Royals next week.

Yu Darvish (quad) has been scratched from his scheduled Thursday start against the Twins.
Darvish felt tightness in his right quad Tuesday while throwing his usual between-starts bullpen session. The Rangers are optimistic that he will be fine after missing just the one outing. Roy Oswalt will take the mound in his place Thursday evening against Minnesota.

Yu Darvish has been diagnosed with a tight right quad.
Darvish felt the discomfort during his between-outings bullpen session on Tuesday. The Rangers will reevaluate him Wednesday before deciding what to do about his next scheduled start (Thursday vs. the Twins). Rangers manager Ron Washington expressed optimism that the Japanese right-hander would be fine.

Yu Darvish dealt with a right leg issue during his between-starts bullpen session Tuesday.
Darvish had to stop his session several times in order to stretch out the leg. He wound up finishing the 40-pitch session, but he did not do his usual post-workout running and then cancelled a scheduled media period. It's not clear at this point whether the injury might affect Darvish's availability for Thursday's scheduled start.

Yu Darvish pitched well in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing three runs on three hits over seven innings while racking up 10 strikeouts.
Darvish also walked one in the game. Edwin Encarnacion belted a two-run homer in the first inning, then Rajai Davis drove home the eventual game-winner with an RBI single in the fifth inning. While he's showed flashes of dominance and brilliance, his first season stateside hasn't gone quite as many pundits would have expected. Darvish will take a disappointing 12-9 record, 4.51 ERA and 172/80 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Orioles at home on Wednesday.

Yu Darvish failed to record a win in his third straight start, allowing six runs on 11 hits with four walks over 6 2/3 innings Monday against the Red Sox.
Darvish is working through some control issues and hasn't been able to effectively establish his fastball. In five starts since the All-Star break, the Japanese right-hander has a 7.76 ERA and a 37/21 K/BB ratio over 31-plus innings. He's a shaky option in fantasy leagues Sunday against the Tigers.

Yu Darvish was shaky in Wednesday's 11-10, 10-inning win over the Angels, allowing seven runs on four hits and six walks in just five innings.
Darvish served up a two-run homer to Albert Pujols in the no-decision, and struck out seven. He required 108 pitches, just 59 of which went for strikes, to record his 15 outs. Texas' prized import has now issued at least four walks in three of his past four starts, and 70 in 127 1/3 innings on the season. He'll bring a 4.38 ERA and 1.41 WHIP into his Monday start in Boston. You might want to keep him benched for that one.
