Yu Darvish pitched well in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing three runs on three hits over seven innings while racking up 10 strikeouts. Darvish also walked one in the game. Edwin Encarnacion belted a two-run homer in the first inning, then Rajai Davis drove home the eventual game-winner with an RBI single in the fifth inning. While he's showed flashes of dominance and brilliance, his first season stateside hasn't gone quite as many pundits would have expected. Darvish will take a disappointing 12-9 record, 4.51 ERA and 172/80 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Orioles at home on Wednesday.
