Yu Darvish threw 130 pitches while allowing four runs over eight innings Thursday in a win over the Tigers. With a 10-4 lead, we're not sure why the Rangers didn't pull Darvish after seven. Still, it's not like the right-hander is a stranger to 130-pitch starts, even if it's his first since he jumped to MLB. Also, Darvish was lights out after a rough start tonight, retiring 15 of the last 16 (and the final 10) batters he faced. He's 7-1 with a 2.97 ERA.

Yu Darvish surrendered four earned runs in eight innings but the Rangers topped the Astros 8-7 on Saturday. Darvish had some control issues, yielding three walks against a Houston lineup that is not known for its plate discipline. But the right-hander struck out nine and limited the Astros to four hits while moving to 6-1 on the season. He will carry a brilliant 2.73 ERA and 0.91 WHIP into his next scheduled start against the Tigers.

Yu Darvish allowed four runs in six innings but the Rangers defeated the White Sox 10-6 on Tuesday. Yu wasn't his best, but it was still good enough to get his fifth win of the year. He allowed seven hits and three walks, but nine punchouts helped him limit the damage. The right-hander now has a 2.33 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings, and he's an early favorite for the AL Cy Young. His next turn comes Sunday against the Red Sox.

Yu Darvish overwhelmed the Angels on Wednesday, striking out 11 in six scoreless innings. Even though the Rangers' nine-run fourth inning threatened to throw him out of rhythm, Darvish got through six easily enough. He reached double figures in strikeouts for the third time this season and improved to 5-1 with a 3.83 ERA in eight career starts against the Angels.

Yu Darvish racked up double-digit strikeouts for the second time on the season, punching out 10 over seven scoreless innings in Friday's victory over the Mariners. Darvish surrendered just three hits and three walks on the evening. He now owns a sparkling 3-1 record, 2.03 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 38/8 K/BB ratio through his first 26 2/3 innings on the season. He trails only A.J. Burnett for the MLB lead in strikeouts. The 26-year-old hurler looks poised to improve upon his already impressive rookie campaign from a season ago, and at this rate could put himself into consideration for the Cy Young award.

Yu Darvish will make his next start on Friday night in Texas against the visiting Mariners. Darvish was in line to start against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, but the forecast calls for cold temperatures and the Rangers don't want their prized righty hitting. Darvish struck out eight batters in his last start against Seattle but allowed three runs in six innings.

Yu Darvish yielded three runs and three hits over six innings Friday against the Mariners. Darvish struggled right away in the first, hitting Jason Bay with a pitch and then giving up three singles to put the Rangers in a 3-0 deficit. He was nearly perfect the rest of the way, giving up no more hits, walking one and striking out eight. The blister doesn't look like much of a concern now.

Yu Darvish (finger) is expected to make his next scheduled start Friday against the Mariners. Darvish left Sunday's start against the Angels after five innings due to continued issues with a blister on his right ring finger, but the Rangers think that they can manage it. Of course, if it impacts his performance, they may decide to give him a break.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs on six hits over five innings in Sunday night's game against the Angels. There was some concern that Darvish may have been overworked after nearly throwing a perfect game in his last start, and it's clear that he didn't have his best stuff. He worked in and out of danger, but was able to minimize the damage with six strikeouts. Darvish had to be removed after just 85 pitches due to a blister issue on his right finger. He could be in danger of missing his next start Friday against the Mariners.

Yu Darvish is dealing with a small blister on his right ring finger, but he's still expected to make his next scheduled start Sunday against the Angels. Darvish developed the blister during his perfect game bid Tuesday night against the Astros. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be a major concern. The 26-year-old right-hander has the potential to emerge as a fantasy ace this season.
