Skaggs' throwing program has been slowed recently by a shoulder issue, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reports out of Arizona earlier this month were encouraging, but Skaggs has hit another roadblock on his way back from Tommy John surgery. Skaggs also battled biceps tendinitis and neck tightness within the past couple months. Manager Mike Scioscia said he does not believe this latest setback is serious, but it will delay a minor league rehab assignment indefinitely.

Skaggs (biceps) threw four innings in extended spring training Friday, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was scheduled to throw just three innings, but his pitch count was low so he fit another frame in. General manager Billy Eppler said reports on Skaggs were "really good," so fantasy owners have to be a little encouraged. His next step could be a rehab assignment, and a return to the big league rotation before the All-Star break remains a possibility. Skaggs makes for a nice under-the-radar stash in deeper leagues.

Skaggs (biceps) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday and could progress to throwing a simulated game by the weekend, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday will mark Skaggs' third bullpen session since being cleared to throw in mid-May. As long as Skaggs' bullpen goes well Wednesday, he'll be ready to move on to throwing a simulated game Saturday. Once he is able to get through the sim game, Skaggs' next step figures to be a minor league rehab assignment.

Skaggs (biceps) resumed throwing Monday after passing a strength test, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs is battling back from a litany of injuries, most recently biceps tendinitis, and was able to throw from 60 feet Monday, while 90 feet is on tap for Tuesday. There's still not a firm timeline for his return to live action, but Monday was certainly a step in the right direction.

Skaggs (biceps) could resume throwing later this week, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels temporarily shut Skaggs down after he was scratched from a Tommy John rehab start at Triple-A Salt Lake in late April, and he was later diagnosed with biceps tendinitis. The lefty is scheduled to be reevaluated Monday, and if all goes well during his examinations, doctors could clear him to start participating in baseball-related activities again. Because Skaggs has tossed only 9.2 innings in the pro ranks since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August 2014, he'll likely need to put in several successful starts at the Triple-A level before the Angels consider bringing him back to the big leagues.

Skaggs (biceps) has yet to resume throwing but manager Mike Scioscia believes that his setback earlier in the week was a minor one, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs was set to undergo a strength test Tuesday but that appointment was cancelled due some tightness in his neck area. He's been on the DL since the season began as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, and though Scioscia believes that this week's setback was only minor, it's still concerning that Skaggs hasn't picked up a baseball in over three weeks. The Angels have yet to say when Skaggs will be able to resume baseball activities.

Skaggs (biceps) did not undergo a strength test Tuesday, as scheduled, due to some tightness in his neck area, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Another day; more bad news for the Angels. Skaggs was to test his strength Tuesday to see if he could resume throwing, but the team decided to play it safe and skip the test after Skaggs reported the discomfort. It's uncertain when Skaggs will be evaluated next, but until Skaggs is cleared to start ramping things up, he will remain without a timetable for a return.

Skaggs was diagnosed with bicep tendinitis Monday and will be evaluated in one week to determine if he is ready to resume throwing.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs, who underwent Tommy John surgery in August, was originally thought to be dealing with a shoulder injury. The recovery process has clearly been troublesome for the young pitcher, but there is still hope for a return this season.

Skaggs is dealing with a shoulder injury and will be evaluated Monday in Los Angeles, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs entered the season with elbow issues and now it seems to have crept up into his shoulder. There's no telling how long he'll be out until the results of his medical evaluations are made public, making him a risky option to pursue in the meantime. At just 24 years old, Skaggs will be expected to join the Angels' bullpen at some point this season if he receives beneficial news Monday.

Skaggs (elbow) has been scratched from his scheduled start Monday at Triple-A Salt Lake City due to fatigue, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels expect Skaggs to make his next scheduled start this weekend for the Bees, but given that Skaggs is in the final stages of returning from Tommy John surgery, his health is still worth monitoring.
