Shaw went 1-for-4 in Friday night's win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw had been hobbled by a shin injury the last couple of days and was making his return to the starting lineup Friday. The month of June has not been kind to Shaw, who's slashing .224/.303/.284 in 67 at-bats, but he's swinging the bat better of late, having gone 10-for-29 (.345) in his last 10 games.

Shaw (lower leg) is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
With Chris Young suffering a hamstring injury Thursday, Shaw, who was supposed to be only available as a pinch hitter, was called upon to play a few innings in left against the White Sox. His lower leg soreness appears to be behind him now, so he'll take back over at third base Friday and bat eighth in the order against Texas.

Shaw (leg) was needed to play three innings in left field Thursday in an 8-7 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Red Sox lost left-fielder Chris Young to a hamstring injury Thursday and placed him on the disabled list, leaving themselves a little short on outfielders. Ryan LaMarre replaced Young and was then pinch hit for by Shaw, who has played a total of 27 innings in the outfield as a pro.

Shaw (leg) is out of the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was an early exit from Wednesday's contest due to a shin contusion, and that's presumably the ailment that will hold him out of action for Thursday's matinee matchup against Chicago. The Red Sox have several options to fill in for Shaw at the hot corner if his absence extends a few games, but manager John Farrell will award Marco Hernandez the starting nod Thursday afternoon.

Shaw was removed in the fourth inning of Wednesday's game against the White Sox with a shin contusion, MLB.com's Ian Browne reports.
EDGE Analysis
He suffered the contusion Tuesday when he fouled a ball off his right shin, but surprisingly attempted to give it a go Wednesday and the injury forced him out early. Shaw was replaced by Deven Marrero at third base. He should be considered day-to-day in advance of Thursday's series finale against the White Sox.

Shaw (ankle) is in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Despite fouling a ball off his ankle Tuesday, Shaw will be able to remain in Boston's lineup for their matchup with Chicago lefty Jose Quintana. Shaw will bat eighth in the order and start at third base Wednesday.

Shaw, who fouled a ball off his ankle Tuesday but remained in, said his ankle started to stiffen up as the game went on and he is not sure if he will be able to play in Wednesday's game, the Boston Herald's Evan Drellich reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw said it was the most pain he has ever been in after fouling a pitch off his body, and he was down on the ground initially before remaining in the game, albeit with a noticeable limp. The ankle bruise could force him to miss a game or two this week, and owners should check back to get an update on his status prior to Wednesday's game. Marco Hernandez or Deven Marrero would likely fill in if Shaw can't go Wednesday.

Shaw fouled a ball off his right ankle in the bottom of the fourth inning of Tuesday's game, but he will remain in the game.
EDGE Analysis
He was down at the plate after what appeared to be a very painful foul ball off the ankle and it's possible that he could deal with swelling or discomfort that costs him a game or two later this week. Had the Red Sox taken him out, Hanley Ramirez would have had to play first base, which would have cost them the DH for the rest of Tuesday's game. Since he stayed in the game we won't assign an injury designation, but it's a situation worth monitoring when setting daily lineups Wednesday.

Shaw went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Seattle. He's hit safely in five straight.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw hit a rough patch form mid-May to mid-June, but started seeing the ball better and making good contact this week, even if the batted balls aren't falling in for hits. During his five-game streak, Shaw is 5-for-16 with two walks and one strikeout.

Shaw went 2-for-4 with a run in Friday's 8-4 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old notched just his third multi-hit effort of June, a month that has seen him struggle considerably at the plate. Despite the two-hit outing Friday, Shaw is tallying just a .200 average (10-for-50) in June, which has caused his season average to drop 19 points to .273 over that span.
