Travis d'Arnaud smacked his first career homer in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.
d'Arnaud's two-run shot off Rick Porcello in the fourth inning gave New York a 3-2 advantage, but the Mets allowed nine consecutive runs to lose 11-3. d'Arnaud is batting just .111/.333/.333 in 18 at-bats over seven games, but the precocious talent should get the bulk of the playing time over John Buck down the stretch and is definitely worth owning in NL-only and two-catcher formats.

Travis d'Arnaud is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Braves.
D'Arnaud has caught four straight games, so John Buck will make the start with the day game. Look for the rookie backstop to return to the lineup Friday against the Tigers.

The Mets will keep Travis d'Arnaud in the majors.
That was the assumption already, but the Mets made official Monday by optioning Anthony Recker to Triple-A. D'Arnaud should get the bulk of the playing time over John Buck down the stretch and is worth owning in two-catcher mixed fantasy leagues.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mets plan to keep Travis d'Arnaud as their primary catcher.
John Buck will presumably slide into a backup role when he returns from the paternity leave list. D'Arnaud, 24, has drawn four walks in eight plate appearances so far in the major leagues and was batting .328/.402/.588 at the Triple-A level before his promotion. He needs to be owed in pretty much all mixed fantasy leagues.

Travis d'Arnaud went 0-for-2 with two walks against the Padres in his major league debut Saturday.
It wasn't a great night for him defensively; he had a passed ball and the Padres were 3-for-3 stealing bases off him. Still, that wasn't all his fault. No word yet on whether he'll start Sunday's day game after the night game.

Mets recalled C Travis d'Arnaud from Triple-A Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old is batting sixth and wearing No. 15 for the Mets on Saturday in his major league debut. He's a .328/.402/.588 hitter at the Triple-A level and is worth grabbing in all standard mixed fantasy leagues.

Travis d'Arnaud will officially be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas before Saturday's game against the Padres.
With d'Arnaud unable to make it in time for Friday's contest, the Mets will opt to play short-handed on Friday with John Buck remaining on the active roster despite leaving the team to be with his wife for the birth of their child. Look for d'Arnaud to make his MLB debut on Saturday.

With John Buck headed to the paternity leave list to be with his wife for the birth of their child, Travis d'Arnaud is en route to San Diego to join the team for Friday's game against the Padres.
It is unclear if he will make it to the ballpark in time for the beginning of the game, so Anthony Recker is drawing the start and hitting seventh for the Mets. Look for d'Arnaud to make his first Major League start on Saturday.

Mets manager Terry Collins indicated Friday that Travis d'Arnaud remains an option to fill in at catcher once John Buck takes his paternity leave.
Buck is expecting a child any day now, and will miss up to three days once his wife goes into labor. It has been a tough season for d'Arnaud who was sidelined for several months with a broken foot, but if he can impress in his brief audition, it stands to reason he could remain with the team for the remainder of the season.

Travis d'Arnaud could be called to the majors soon.
John Buck is expected to hit the paternity leave list at any moment to be with his wife in labor, and it's highly possible that d'Arnaud is going to be the Mets' fill-in. The young top catching prospect has been idle for much of this season because of a broken foot. He was cleared to begin playing in games again last week.
