Mets prospect catcher Travis d'Arnaud (foot) has been cleared to begin running. Excellent news for d'Arnaud, who has been sidelined since mid-April with a broken bone in his left foot. The 24-year-old backstop is expected to return to game action within 3-4 weeks and should make his major league debut at some point during the second half.

Mets prospect Travis d'Arnaud has shed the protective walking boot from his once-fractured left foot. It's a nice step in the right direction for the rehabbing catcher. He broke a bone in his foot during a game at Triple-A Las Vegas in mid-April and has been sidelined ever since. The hope is that d'Arnaud will be ready to begin appearing in games again within 2-3 weeks.

D'Arnaud broke a bone in his left foot during a game with Triple-A Las Vegas in mid-April, but he'll now gradually progress with his rehab. The 24-year-old backstop will begin with upper body activities and it will likely be another 2-3 weeks before he's ready for game action. His major league debut figures to occur at some point during the second half of the season.

D'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot during a mid-April game at Triple-A Las Vegas and is still in a protective boot. If the Mets determine he's healthy enough to resume baseball activity, it will likely still be 2-3 weeks before d'Arnaud returns to game action. The 24-year-old is not expected to be a candidate for a promotion to majors until well into the second half of the season.

D'Arnaud is still in a walking boot, but he's hoping to be cleared for weight-bearing activities in two weeks. The 24-year-old suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot during a mid-April game at Triple-A Las Vegas and will continue to be moved along slowly. D'Arnaud won't be a candidate for a promotion to majors until well into the second half of the season.

The Mets were hoping that he would be able to shed his walking boot Friday, but there was always the chance that he would need more time. The 24-year-old backstop is unlikely to return to game action until the end of June.

Mike Puma of the New York Post was told by a source that it will likely be 4-8 weeks before Mets prospect catcher Travis d'Arnaud will be able to resume baseball activities. D'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot while attempting to catch a foul ball during Wednesday's game with Triple-A Las Vegas. Doctors in New York want to see him before a strict timetable is set, but he may not be ready for game action until sometime in June.

The talented young backstop has been fitted with a walking boot and will likely be held out of action at Triple-A Las Vegas for the next couple of weeks. He is not expected to join the Mets until June anyway, so the organization can play this thing as safe as possible.
