Travis d'Arnaud will officially be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas before Saturday's game against the Padres. With d'Arnaud unable to make it in time for Friday's contest, the Mets will opt to play short-handed on Friday with John Buck remaining on the active roster despite leaving the team to be with his wife for the birth of their child. Look for d'Arnaud to make his MLB debut on Saturday.
