Manager Terry Collins initially thought d'Arnaud suffered a severe shoulder injury, but the Mets do not believe they will have to call up a replacement for d'Arnaud.

D'Arnoud was officially considered day-to-day with a hyperextended left elbow, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
It is unclear if d'Arnaud will have to miss any time because of the injury, but Kevin Plawecki came into the game to replace d'Arnoud and would see the extra playing time should d'Arnoud be required to sit a few games.

D'Arnaud was diagnosed with a left elbow injury, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
D'Arnaud underwent x-rays at the hospital Wednesday night after leaving the game. D'Arnaud injured his arm while trying to tag A.J. Pierzynski at home plate. Kevin Plawecki came into the game in his place and will likely see playing time should D'Arnaud miss any games.

D'Arnaud left Saturday's game after injuring his left arm while trying to tag A.J. Pierzynski, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
D'Arnaud reached for the tag on Pierzynski, who seemed to run through his arm, causing his arm to extend farther backward than expected. The extent of the injury remains unknown, but the Mets should update his status in the near future.

D'Arnaud hasn't collected a hit in either of his last two contests, and will receive a day off Friday following three straight starts behind the plate. The Mets will turn to Kevin Plawecki behind the plate in his place, batting eighth.

D'Arnaud has caught four of the last five games since returning off the disabled list, collecting a hit in each of his starts. However, he'll get another day of rest Monday, with Kevin Plawecki taking the duties over behind the plate and batting eighth.

D'Arnaud will start at catcher and bat cleanup Sunday against the Braves.
D'Arnaud will be eased back into action following his Wednesday activation, but the backstop will at least draw the starting nod for the afternoon contest. He's been effective since his return to the lineup, going 4-for-13 at the dish with two doubles and two RBI.

The Mets' normal No. 2 hitter, Juan Lagares, is getting a day off, so d'Arnaud will move up after batting sixth in his first two games back. D'Arnaud is 3-for-8 with two doubles and two runs scored since returning from a fractured right hand and will serve as the team's primary option behind the plate moving forward.

D'Arnaud (hand) has been activated from the DL and is in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
As expected, d'Arnaud will rejoin the Mets on Wednesday after missing missing nearly two months with a fractured right hand. The backstop will bat sixth against Giants starter Tim Hudson.
