D'Arnaud (elbow) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports. D'Arnaud last played in a game June 20, so he'll be eligible to return from the disabled list July 6. He underwent an MRI on Monday, and the doctors did not like what they saw, according to Newsday's Marc Carig. In d'Arnaud's absence, Kevin Plawecki will get most of the playing time behind the plate, with Johnny Monell recalled to serve as the backup.
