D'Arnaud's (hand) examination to shed his soft cast and begin baseball activities will be Tuesday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. D'Arnaud will need to rebuild the strength in his hand and then progress to swinging a bat. From there, he will move to batting practice and a several games rehab stint. D'Arnaud, who has been ably replaced by Kevin Plawecki, could be back with the Mets in early-June.

D'Arnaud (hand), who has already started receiving drills, will be examined by the team doctors and hopes to shed his splint Monday, Newsday reports. Kevin Plawecki has filled in nicely for d'Arnaud and it remains to be seen if he will be sent down when d'Arnaud returns. If d'Arnaud does receive clearance to shed the splint, he will need to progress to swinging a bat, then hitting off a tee to batting practice and a rehab stint. If all goes well, d'Arnaud could be back by early-June.

D'Arnaud (hand) will be in a splint for three weeks and will then be re-examined, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports. D'Arnaud's examination after three weeks will determine whether or not he will be able to resume baseball activities. If he's able to, an early June return seems plausible at this point. The Mets will place him on the disabled list before Tuesday's game.

D'Arnaud suffered a fractured right hand when he was hit by A.J. Ramos pitch in the seventh inning Sunday, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. The Mets also lost Jerry Blevins to a fractured left forearm in the game, which occurred in the top of the inning d'Arnaud was injured. Kevin Plawecki is likely to get promoted and start daily at catcher for the Mets. D'Arnaud could miss 4-to-6 weeks with the injury and then the question will be if he has full strength in the hand when he returns.

D'Arnaud left Sunday's game in the seventh inning after getting hit in the right wrist/hand by A.J. Ramos, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. D'Arnaud had been raking at the plate to start the season, so any extended absence would be a huge blow to the Mets.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup Friday against the Marlins. The 26-year-old will get what looks like a routine day off following four straight starts, as Anthony Recker steps in behind the plate and bats eighth against right-hander David Phelps. D'Arnaud hit his first home run of the year Wednesday in a multi-hit effort, his fourth multi-hit game already this season, and it looks like he may bat second until David Wright (hamstring) returns.

D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with his first homer, a walk and two runs Wednesday against Philadelphia. D'Arnaud continues to make his fantasy owners happy, as he's transitioned from a poor spring training into a hot start to the season -- a .333 average and eight RBI in as many games.

D'Arnaud has been moved into the two hole Wednesday with David Wright (hamstring) getting placed on the DL, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. This is pretty awesome for d'Arnaud's fantasy value, as it should help maximize his at-bats while offering him the chance to hit with a high OBP guy, Curtis Granderson, ahead of him and a potent power bat, Lucas Duda, behind him. Wright could be out for at least a couple weeks, so d'Arnaud will be a good play in all formats during that stretch.

D'Arnaud is getting a rare day off with Anthony Recker starting Sunday, giving Travisthe NY Post reports. D'Arnaud has driven in five runs already and should be in the lineup nearly every day, thanks to his potential.

D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's win over Washington. After a cold spring, d'Arnaud is on a three-game hitting streak to open regular-season play, and he's got at least one RBI in each of those games too. It's not at all unreasonable for d'Arnaud to break out as a top-10 catcher this year.
