Souza also has career highs overall in doubles (17), homers (17), RBI (49), batting average (.243) and slugging percentage (.411), but has notably whiffed a whopping 158 times over 419 at-bats. However, his late-season surge, which has coincided with a much better offensive performance by the Rays overall, may give him some much-needed momentum and confidence heading into the offseason.
