Goldschmidt hit his first homerun of the year Friday as part of a 3-for-4 performance in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He scored once and drove in three runs in the contest.
Goldschmidt is off to a great start, reaching base in more than half of his plate appearances to date. The homerun should answer the only lingering question about his hand injury from last year, which was whether the power would be back. He should return to being an MVP-caliber player this year.

Goldschmidt hit a double to go 1-for-3 with a run scored and a walk Wednesday in a 5-2 loss to the Giants.
Goldschmidt was ninth in the league last year with 39 doubles despite missing more than 50 games due to injury. Through his first 13 plate appearances he has reached base at a .538 clip, which is incredible and a good sign that last year's injury isn't affecting his approach at the plate. Assuming his power is back to pre-injury levels, the 27-year-old is going to be one of the top hitters in baseball and a fantasy stud.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base Tuesday in a 7-6 win over the Giants.
Goldschmidt had another base stolen when David Peralta grounded out to end the first inning. Although he missed about a third of last season with a broken hand, Goldschmidt's ability to fill the stat sheet makes him one of the very top players in fantasy. Even with only two games in the books, the only sign of full health that he has yet to show is his power stroke. Start him with impunity.

Goldschmidt will occupy the No. 3 spot in the order in the D-backs' spring opener against Arizona State on Tuesday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
With no restrictions this spring, it should come as little surprise that the Diamondbacks are rolling with Goldschmidt in his typical place in the order. He remains a top-five selection in most leagues this spring, offering the ability to contribute in all five hitting categories and with what appears to be a slightly improved lineup around him in Arizona.

Goldschmidt said that he is fully recovered from the broken hand that cost him the final two months of last season, MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports.
Goldschmidt had resumed taking batting practice in the final week of September and may have received clearance to return to action had the season extended a couple weeks longer. In any event, with the full offseason to recover, Goldschmidt will enter spring training at full strength and should merit heavy consideration as a first-round selection across just about any fantasy format. Goldschmidt was well on his way to another monster season in 2014 before suffering the untimely injury, as he posted a .300 average to go along with 19 homers and 69 RBI over 109 games.

Goldschmidt took batting practice Saturday for the first time since breaking his hand in August, MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports.
Goldschmidt has not encountered any setbacks since breaking his hand, and it appears he is pretty close to, if not at, 100 percent again. Expect Goldschmidt to b good to go by the time spring training rolls around.

Goldschmidt (hand) underwent a CT scan Tuesday, which confirmed that surgery will not be necessary, Jack Magruder of FOXSportsArizona.com reports.
The 26-year-old was ruled out for the year after suffering a fractured left hand back on Aug. 1, but the results of Tuesday's CT scan suggest he may be able to resume strengthening work in just 2-to-3 more weeks. The 26-year-old hit .300/.396/.542 with 19 homers and 69 RBI in 109 games this season, further cementing himself as one of the elite fantasy options in baseball.
