Paul Goldschmidt finished 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Nationals.
Goldschmidt went hitless in the weekend series against the White Sox, but he's gotten back to business against Washington, collecting three doubles in the first two contests. The first baseman has been a slightly better version of himself thus far -- which is to say terrific -- slashing .324/.371/.541 with seven homers and 26 RBI.

Paul Goldschmidt singled and launched his first home run of the season -- a two-run shot -- in Thursday's loss to the Giants.
Goldschmidt's blast in the first inning got the scoring going for the D'Backs, and Mark Trumbo added a two-run shot of his own in the sixth. Arizona had a two-run lead into the eighth, but their bullpen then proceeded to cough up four runs. Goldschmidt has 11 hits in his first 26 at-bats this season.

Paul Goldschmidt had a pair of hits and scored the Diamondbacks lone run in Saturday's season opening loss to the Dodgers in Australia.
Goldschmidt finished the night 2-for-4. He doubled off Clayton Kershaw leading off the sixth inning, took third on a wild pitch, and scampered home on a ground ball of the bat of Mark Trumbo. He showed no signs of rust after a slow Cactus League performance, and once again looks poised to accumulate huge fantasy numbers in the desert this season.

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's game against the Indians.
There was little concern about Goldschimidt's power outage thus far, but it's still nice to see the first baseman get on the board with his first homer of the spring. Goldy also doubled and walked in the game. He's batting .244 this spring.

Paul Goldschmidt had a nice day at the plate in Friday's loss to the Brewers, going 2-for-3 plus a walk, and scoring three runs.
He's been struggling with the bat in the early going, hitting just .216 (8-for-38) with no homers and five RBI. He's also missed a few days due to leg stiffness, which may have impacted his performance. He remains one of the top options on the board in fantasy drafts, but a full repeat of his 2013 season is probably wishful thinking.

Paul Goldschmidt has missed the last two games due to leg stiffness.
The good news is that Goldy expected back in there on Saturday. Barring a setback, it's nothing to worry about.

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored in Tuesday's 8-6 victory over the Padres.
Goldschmidt was cold to start the spring but had a nice afternoon on Tuesday. The first baseman put up MVP-caliber numbers last season and can reasonably be expected to repeat the performance in 2014.

Paul Goldschmidt has been named the 2013 National League Gold Glove winner at first base.
It's the first Gold Glove for the big slugger. Goldschmidt finished first in the Fielding Bible voting among all MLB first basemen. He beat out the Cubs' Anthony Rizzo and the Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez.
