Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 12-6 loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
After the Marlins tallied five runs in the top half of the third inning, Goldschmidt cut his team's deficit to one run in the bottom half of the frame with his 36th long ball of the season. That home run matched his previous career best from 2013, when he also drove in a career-high 125 runs. With 120 RBI on the season, Goldschmidt will have a good chance to establish a new personal best in that category with seven games remaining on the Diamondbacks' schedule.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and three runs in Friday's 13-11 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt mustered only one multi-hit performance through his first 13 games of September, but he's now turned in back-to-back two-hit efforts to bring his batting average above the Mendoza Line for the month. Even when Goldschmidt isn't piling up the hits, he's always capable of scoring plenty of runs for fantasy owners thanks to his patient eye at the plate. In the midst of what's been a disappointing month, Goldschmidt is still running an excellent 9.2 percent walk rate.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI, one run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 13-7 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
After swiping 13 bases in the first half, Goldschmidt has been less aggressive since the All-Star break, attempting only six steals in 59 games. Even so, in collecting his 18th stolen base of the season, Goldschmidt still has a good chance at turning in a third consecutive campaign of at least 20 steals and 20 homers, an impressive achievement for any player, much less a first baseman.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Saturday's win over San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt hit a two-run shot in the top of the first inning, and it was the only offense that Arizona needed to secure the win. It's been another banner campaign for the slugger, and Goldschmidt is now just a single homer shy of his career-high 36 bombs during the 2013 campaign.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The two-hit performance helped end a brief skid at the plate for the MVP candidate, who had gone 2-for-25 with three runs and three RBI over the past six contests. While Goldschmidt's September has gotten off to a slow start, the Diamondbacks' attack hasn't missed a beat thanks to the heroics of the slugger behind him in the order, J.D. Martinez, who has hit nine home runs in his 11 games on the month.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
This was great to see in just Goldschmidt's second game back from an elbow injury. He is now two home runs shy of matching his career high of 36 set in 2013. The Diamondbacks don't have an off day until Sept. 21 and they could opt to give Goldschmidt a maintenance day for the elbow this week, so those in leagues that allow daily lineup changes should keep an eye out. Those in weekly formats appear safe to deploy him as normal.

Goldschmidt (elbow) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
An MRI earlier in the week cleared Goldschmidt of any structural damage to his elbow, and he was able to successfully ramp up his baseball activities in recent days with no major issues. The 29-year-old will look to continue his push for the National League MVP; he's top-10 in virtually every hitting category and is fifth in the league in fWAR.

Goldschmidt (elbow) participated in baseball activities prior to Friday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Torey Lovullo said that the club wanted to give Goldschmidt an extra day to approach his full level of activity, which is why he was withheld from the lineup again Friday. The plan is for Goldschmidt to be evaluated Saturday, so information regarding his availability should be available heading into Arizona's outing versus San Diego. If Goldschmidt has to miss another game, look for Daniel Descalso to fill in at first base.

Goldschmidt (elbow) isn't in the lineup Friday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt recently expressed optimism regarding his status and said he thought he'd be ready to return for Friday's game. Although he's eager to play, the Diamondbacks are being careful with the star first baseman, as Goldschmidt is being withheld from the lineup for the fifth consecutive game. Daniel Descalso will start at first base and hit fifth in place of Goldschmidt on Friday night.

Goldschmidt (elbow) believes he could return to the lineup Friday against the Padres, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diamondbacks skipper Torey Lovullo indicated that Goldschmidt prodded him to play Wednesday against the Dodgers, but the All-Star ultimately sat out a fourth straight contest with inflammation in his right elbow. In spite of the MVP candidate's absence, the Diamondbacks have been able to extend their winning streak to 13 games to further solidify their playoff positioning, so there isn't any impetus to rush Goldschmidt back into action at less-than-full health. Goldschmidt will likely be evaluated at batting practice Friday morning before his status for the series opener with San Diego is determined.
